The 121 at rush hour is Gnarly to say the least. ya got some Nads Chopper
Pistonguy...
I'm afraid my nads are a little old and not so macho these days... LOL! The handling of the old Mouse made it an enjoyable ride, rather than "white-knuckles"... LOLOL! I felt like the snail hitching a piggyback ride on the turtle... "WHEEEE!"
If you haven't seen "Minnie Mouse" it's undoubtedly the fishtail-exhaust that does the trick!
She's a great old ride!
Ride safe!

We'll have to get together one day and take a ride! Ride safe, Leo You must be near my "hood" around Grapevine. That pic of the mouse is across the street from "Golden Corral"... More my speed these days! I can have a beer once in a while, but not enough to really enjoy it... Getting old is NOT for the young... LOL!

Paladin and Urbanmadness,
Yeah, those old-school Mini's are the bomb!
Back in 1968/1969 I was in Germany in the Army. A lot of the guys who didn't opt for a VW found a nice used Mini. You could get them in Europe for a couple hundred bucks American... THOSE were the DAYS!
The little cars would absolutely HONK! The new ones are nice, and modern, but do not have the class of the TEENSY originals. Indeed, Brit Racing Green with a Union Jack is THE way to go! Austin Powers would surely approve... Positively "shagadelic"... EEEWWW!
Back in those days, in Europe, there were many slick rides available for less than a thousand bucks American... The wood-framed MORGAN was about as cool as the Mini. Also, there were Jags, Austin Healey's and some German cars I'm not quite sure WHAT they were... I opted for a sweet 1965 Porsche 356B off a German used car lot for 3,200 Marks: $800 bucks American. I put a LOT of Kilometers on that little ride all over Europe...
I really enjoyed hanging with the local German "hot rodders". They were just like us, but had to work with small-displacement Euro cars. Some Americans paid big bucks to ship their American muscle cars across the pond and sold them for OBSCENE prices to eager Germans. They'd about sell their kids for a Mustang or Camaro!
Back then, NO speed-limit on the Autobahn, NO law against drinking while you drive... (yeah, TEXAS was like that in the '80's too!) and all sorts of dangerous fun to be had. Great times, never to be had again! No AGE limit for drinking back then either... My favorite German billboard was for Monninger Bier... Had a German family, Mom, Dad, little Brother and little Sister in a Mercedes convertible ALL holding up their bottles of Monninger... Makes the trip more enjoyable! Nowadays, Germany has super-strict drinking/driving enforcement.
I still well remember waiting in line at the Bratwurst stand behind a gaggle of 10-year-old German kids while they bought their noon-time beer and brat... Those little nippers could hold their "bier"! Booze too...
But as for them little Mini's, I've never seen anything go SO fast on such SMALL WHEELS except for my old 100 mph McCulloch kart-motor powered mini-bike! Now THAT was an "E-Ticket-Ride"... Woo-HOO!
There are NOT a lot of Brit SCOOTERS... But some Euro-style scoots might just look good in that Brit Green with a Union Jack... Maybe?
Ride safe!
Leo

My 124 Spider surprises people with the room inside. When I took my kid brother out in it for ice cream the first time he was amazed at how easy it was to get in and out of.
The original Fiat 500 and its variants were fun too.
Dennis Gage did a spot on the Micro Car Show in Longwood Florida that had some interesting models that were sold in the USA.

I have H-rated (130MPH) Bridgestones on my Burgman...though the bike tops out at about 92-94MPH on the rev limiter. One reason I replaced my Qlink was that I just wasn't comfortable on the highway on a 120/ -10 rear tire!
