Hey guys I have a customer here with a saga 150cc scooter. Has a gy6 in it. starter clutch blew. I can't seem to find anything that resembles a replacement for what I pulled out. closest thing I have found so far is from a yamaha raptor 660 but haven't been able the verify measurements to see if it's the same. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where I might find a starter clutch with a bushing in the center and not a keyway? the starter clutch bolts to the magneto and the gear is sanwiched between the starter clutch and the case

whats the engine number? John be careful. there is a big difference in a engine number, and the number stamped on the CVT case. the number stamped on my case indicates a 2 cylinder air cooled engine. the engine in my scoot is 244cc single cylinder water cooled. another shining example of those chinese standards.

On gy6 engines, the stamp is on the lower left front of the engine. Look just in front of the CVT.

BZ169MM is close to the rear wheel. Otherwise this sucker is a blank canvas. or do i need to pull the cover on that side and look inside? stamped on the case in there maybe?

Take a pic of the left side of the scooter, we should be able to tell if it's a gy6.

Not an air cooled GY6 150. BZ169MM indicates its a 2002 Benzhou 250cc water cooled bike.

ok this is looking like we are on the right track now. I have one concern. There's no part numbers on any of this stuff. Can you fine chaps direct me to the correct part?
In canada this scooter is labeled as a 150cc. they don't technically sell anything bigger. some weird law that if it's a certain cc's you can't have your legs in front of you. we have weird rules. but... so far I get away with a lot of emission crap. However that might change now. our new Prime Minister is a tree huger, so i can see california type regulations coming into play pretty soon. Bye-bye supercharger on my miata.
