I used the tool it gave me to puncture hole but i already got slime in it..... Any advive? Damn its tough

It was a inch screw in it pulled it out put slime in now i got slime plug kit but the hole looks as if its gettin a crack near the hole so im gonna use the tool to bore the hole out then put plug in but damn it tough need help!!!!

Also put gum out in fuel tank it was almost empty and put about 4 oz of gumout in it then filled with  . Big problem or no? Whats the side affects? |

the slime is the problem, also it WILL corrode the wheel. even the so-called non-corrosive style green slime they claim is safe on aluminum (it's not). been there and done that, along with half an hour with a wire brush on my drill to get all the crap off, including all the white corrosion. the wire brush didn't help the pits in the rim but bead sealer fixed that. I had put it in as a cautionary tactic and learned to just leave that crap on the shelf and my money in my pocket.
that said, i can't think of anything for you to do but take the tire off the rim, clean it and the rim well, then plug it.

Gumout makes anything you can spray or pour, so calling it by the brand doesn't help us figure out what you're doing. Gotta tell us what the product is not the brand. 4 ounces of anything is way too much in a scooter, that's liike what an entire bottle? Seriously man, avoid additives, what gave you the idea to fill yoru tank with whatever anyways and not gas??? Even if the slime is int he way it shouldn't stop the plug from working. All you do is you ream the hole a few times (it may help to have the hole ontop of the tire or wherever gets you the best angle but not facing down) then you take the plug and very quickly jam it in and pull the tool out fast so the plug doesnt come back out and then just cut the portion of the plug that sticks out or sand it down. |

slim is SLIMY, if it is coating the hole the plug will not stick. been there, done that. claim what you want but experience proves it is simply so.

Try using rubber cement on the plug, let it dry a little before putting it in so the rubber cement is tacky. If all else fails get a new rim and tire since it seems the slime will eventually eat your rim anyways.

I put gum out fuel injector and carburetor cleaner in it i bought a 6 oounce in and put almost all in there mmaybe 4 oz.. So dont put plug in with slime? And what did the gum out do to my engine?

Did you even read the bottle? The bottle of those say one bottle is for 21 gallons.... so why would you put 2/3 of it into a tank that's nearly one gallon, you effectively ruined your gas... Not to mention that stuff doesn't really work the way you think it does, it doesn't clean things much, it only "by chance" will get rid of what is already loose, in which case gasoline does the same thing.. If you want to clean your carb pull the carb out and clean it, if you want to keep the fuel from going bad when storing it for a short time you put about a shot glass worth of seafoam engine treatment into your gas. A shot glass is typically an ounce or less... Running a huge amount of additives will cause your engine to run crappy, not at all, or maybe cause even more serious issues down the line. |

No The Gumout is Nothing More than Petroleum Distillates. Seafoam is also Nothing More than Petroleum Distillates. Wont Hurt a Dmn thing. Run It. A Shot is a Jigger =2 Ounces. |

The Fuel injector cleaner is just a solvent to help dissolve gum and carbon deposits in the fuel system and on valve stems. Run it through and you should be fine however note that if your fuel lines are failing from ethanol damage the cleaner can loosen up those bits of decaying rubber fuel line and clog your fuel filter or carb. Next time read the instructions and follow the recommendations on how much per gallon to use.
If the tire is cracking then its past its useful life and needs to be replaced.
You do not want to be riding a bike with Slime in it when an old tire fails. It is miserable to get it out of your clothing, off the bike and makes changing the tire pure misery afterwards. Many shops will refuse to change a tire that has Green Slime in it.
