I'm just wondering is ethanol causing this with plastics

Yes.....
Ethanol along with build quality equals disintegrating plastics.........
At one point gas never really "expired".... Some cars with 20/50 year old gas can still run on the same fluid. Theses days, you will have to buy new gas...... This is a different topic though so I digress.

it's never over....
in the beginning. Fuel sensor wasn't working so took it out to look at it. Noticed the broken float. Put it back together and ordered a new unit. Kept riding until unit arrived. In the mean time noticed a slight "bog", more of a fuel cut off or hesitations. Was positive that the carb probably had debris in it. Replaced fuel unit, replaced fuel line, replaced fuel petcock, cleaned carb, replaced gas. Problem still persists.
Really only notice it under acceleration at half throttle or more. Could be a clogged jet but i cleaned everything good! Doesn't act like it's going to die like a real bog, just a jerk/hesitation in power that recovers on it's own.
Ordered a manual petcock since it's hard starting now...taking a second or two to get the gas flowing which i don't like. Will most likely take off P.A.I.R. system also (shhh don't tell those guys that told me to take it off in the beginning.) Mine looks a little different is another reason why I'm hesitant. Also will check valves (300 miles now)
Parts may take up to a month to get in so will post up results after. Wish me luck as I'm still riding her. 5 miles to work each way.

mftic... If you have an adjustable needle on your carburetor have you tried adjusting it? Moving it one slot to leaner should fix the hesitation at 1/2 throttle.

Nah, not adjustable.
Heck, last time I had it completely apart it took 1/2 to reassemble it..hahahaha. Had to have the stupid thing lined up perfectly.
I'm really praying it's not an "adjustment" I need to make because i'm tired of buying things. I'll admit it does sound like it with the little stumble it has though. It was running great before for the last 250miles and I didn't change anything.

All my parts are months out....so i (actually the wife did it while i was at work) went to the auto parts store and got a new plug. NGK to replace the crappy one.
Damn thing started up on the first revolution i swear. No hesitation at all during my quick 2 mile test ride. Didn't feel like it quite had the take-off of before but that could have just been low tire psi or just me or even the gap.
My guess is i was mixing stabil in with the gas (says you can run it with ANY engine) and the scoot didn't like it. Made it run a little richer. No more of that stuff in my gas. We shall see in the coming miles whether that was all it needed or not. Of course the rainy season is beginning too.
*edit...started up great this morning. Did notice the right/rear turn signal is now constantly on. All others work normal. YAY, now i get to take all the plastics off again and find the problem. Maybe I'll luck out and it will be at the bulb end, nice and easy?
