Hey guys,,,I'm not trying to pick on anyone here or anywhere else for that matter,,,,these super cheap parts are a complete and utter waste of time and money,,,,I'd use the piston only,,,,for an ashtray ,,,these kits are junk,,,they are not machined correctly,,are made of inferior materials,,,I get the whole saving money thing but I'm seeing a push on many of the forums to find and try to use the cheapest and nastiest parts ,,,this is a fools errand,,,they do not perform well ,,,or long,,,,go on the net and type in wiseco piston,,,tell me what you see,,,the most beautifully executed Pistons you can get,,,finished to the highest order,,this level of quality is what lasts,,,I've put tens of thousands of miles on wiseco and venolia pistons,,,flawless performance,,never a question ,,,,I know they cost more,,,but well worth the money,,,I'm also turning my eye to Taida,,,they are making decent parts and kits,,,,and are reasonably priced for what you get,,,well thought out kits that are tested and matched and priced right,,,,these inexpensive "kits" are not good at all,,,I'm sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes ,,don't mean to hurt anyone,,,it just doesn't make sense,,,you want to find out who's doing it right? Go on to the real cannonball scooter run,,,not one Chinese bike finished ,,,not one,,I haven't checked in a few months but I still believe no Chinese bike entered,,,,,,nuff said

No offence taken, or given... Lesson learned for all IMO. This was an experiment anyway (I thought). Quick and dirty is what ya wanted and got...... Heck, Like I said, this seller is just listing a range of cheap China stuff to make a quick buck. Probably has no idea what he is selling. ( would you order a Police dog vest? ) No harm, No big deal right? Are the Gaskets decent? Something has to be at least usable/resellable...... The ashtray idea isn't bad Maybe a Top end Candle Holder and Piston Key chain for $20.00...... (trying to stay positive here)

I don't think you will have a problem with the Cylinder head gasket seal. Can you hang a Finger Nail Good and Tight in any scratches? And is it supposed to have Oversize Valves?

Hey guys, I plan to return this kit. Sure the ad shows it is obviously a cheap kit, but the ad said nothing about it being damaged goods. I buy lot of cheap stuff on ebay, no one is supposed to be allowed to sell damaged goods unless they state clearly in the ad that it is damaged. Just because you expect it to be bad quality doesn't mean you should be expecting it to arrive damaged and useless. Money is money, period.
Tthe seller doesn't seem to know how to read as they totally ignored my last message and pretty much asked if I liked it which is like adding insult to injury almost... especially when I started the message to them with "I am unsatisfied with the condition the product arrived in."
The scratches are all deep, and a few deep dings on it too. Hang a fingernail? Not sure what that means really but if I were to run my nails accross the metal vertical to the scratches my fingernails dip into the scratches and get caught, so I would say deep, not light.
I wonder how they expected it to arrive in good condition with only thin bubblewrap bags and literally 1 thin sheet of styrofoam between the top of the box and the products, nothing to pad anyt other parts of it... I am suspecting it was not like this when they packaged it but during shipping became damaged and would explain why all the small parts have sratches and stuff on them too. The piston rings ffs were wedged between the bottom of the box and the skirt of the cylinder and the piston was just loose jingling around in the box bouncing off of everything in the box it seems.

Flower pot from the jug, door stop with piston? At least it was cheap, and you may have saved someone else the trouble.

Maybe the shipping company should be contacted also........ Just throwing that idea out there. Sorry thing did not work out. The seller could blame you for not checking the package upon delivery........ Not really worth all the effort IMO 10 tacos and a few Cheesburgers would have the same Crap results for the money spent....

Not really worth all the effort IMO 10 tacos and a few Cheesburgers would have the same Crap results for the money spent.... I literally got it as soon as the truck got here, brought it upstairs, opened it up, and took those pics. Nothing has been done with the kit since. I would have put up with crappy design, or a few scratches, but the scratches on this I feel make it completely useless and if the scratches weren't there I feel it would be a nice kit for the purpose of just giving life to an old engine that never had a lot of use. The cylinder doesn't look that bad, but the head does. The cylinder seems to have closer to what looks like 30 degree angles crosshatch, but no scuffs or anything wrong it seems, the crosshatch goes all the way from end to end and there is no rust or anything inside. Just if these scratches weren't there I'd be using it.

Well ya can look at it sorta my way I figure this whole deal, fake big valve, fake perf exh, is all just Semi Finished Product. I almost done mind ill have enough time in my head that I could have bought 10-20 of them. but I know it will be correct. Gotta Hard Kitchen Counter top?? Get a thick piece of glass on that counter and throw down some emory cloth and swirl that puppy all around and remove the scratches, Heck y'ull be bumping the compression at no charge!! Whallla! Lain High Perf Head. Thats a Forty Dollar bill right there

I've never used emory cloth and didn't know about it before your post so don't blame me if that question sounds stupid lol I'm not sure if it was meant to have big valves, I don't think it was though. Just the standard head the chinese kits come with with bigger chamber but same valve sizes I think.

Lain High Perf Head. Thats a Forty Dollar bill right there I agree. Easy fix. Probably only needs a few thousandths to make it right. How much that would affect compression, I don't know. Would you guide me on how to solve that? I just did a rebuild, with a cheap head and cylinder, and the compression is still only 120 psi, according to my gauge, after 500 km. I don't know how much clearance there is between the valves and piston, but that would be a great solution to raise the psi a bit. 10.5:1 compression is listed for the 139qmb, so that's 14.7 x 10 = 147psi that I should have? It's 39mm and that volume is going to compress by ten so if I needed to raise my psi to 147 - 120 = 27psi so I'd need a volume of 2.7cc's compressed, removed? .0023mm = .00009"? I'm probably way lost here. no wait .0023cm = .0009", about .001"?The stroke on a 139qmb is about 1.63". I need a volume of 49cc to compress to 10.5 x smaller, so compressed volume would be 4.71cc, but my compressed volume is too big by x amount. Okay, my head just exploded. 4.71 cc's on a 3.9cm bore would be .0984cm height = about .039" or 1mm.
.394cm = .155" shaved off to make the compressed volume 4.71cc smaller?

The amount removed to "clean" the head up will result in negligible comp, ratio increase Pistonguy should have that formula on hand. Emory cloth comes in different grit's like sand paper Lots to choose from, Medium, Fine, ultra Fine, 280-400 grit or finer. You could finish it to a polish if ya wanted to. You could swirl away. surface grinders used to surface heads work in that motion. Swirl to 12:5-1 its not as hack as one may think in This Application . with a fine grit finish would look racey.

It's a good technique for removing a small amount of material with good flatness.

Actually I barnyard surfaced more other application heads then I care to admit to in the 70's and 80's. I can make it look like ya had a for real deal do it, Genuine Fake Head Surface by Pistonguy I have some High end machinist Straight Edges I use to gauge what I can get away with.
