It never hurts to try, but I bought a cheap one similar to that, and my engine lost compression and stopped running within 2 days. I bought another one from a reputable dealer, for more money, and it's still going strong. That cheap one had casting holes in it all the way through to the cylinder.
If it were me, I would pass. But, mine is my main transportation. If you can afford the risk, the worst thing that can happen is you are out $34.

Hey man, it is definitely worth the price of admission.
The casting does look very rough but, everything needed is there. Personnally I would also pass.... that's just me though.
The seller has a 99% positive e-bay rating--- "As described, you get what you pay for" is one of the feedback comments. For a quick fix, this maybe perfect for what your doing----Then again for another 20 bucks you could have peace of mind.
Give it a try and keep us updated!!!!!!!

I've been seeing the prices of most all scooter parts come down in the last few years.

It should arrive today, I'll be taking pics of everything before install so you can see what the kit looks like. Yeah YGWYPF doesn't bother me since the engine in question has just been sitting without use since 2013 and was only breifly used and was only put to rest becasuse the engine sat ont he intake stroke without a carb or cover to the intake manifold and got rain and snow in the topend and rusted it bad. Just trying to give life to what did not have life.

The packaging was horrible, it arrived with deep scratches and dings all over and the piston scuffed and scratched. Contacted the seller, awaiting response. There was only 1 thin piece of styrofoam and the bubblewrap bags to "protect" them during shipping... I'm unsure but I think these are not aluminum parts, there is rust in the bolt holes on the cylinder and it is significantly heavier than my old 50mm bbk cylinder I have in my old parts bin.

After seeing your last post, I checked out the sellers "store front" Lain...... Wish I would have looked before you ordered...... It seems Like this seller just has a random assortment of cheep china made products..... Everything from this BBK to A Police dog vest Technically, you indeed got what you ordered... No harm no foul I hope.... Do you still plan on using this or, make a stink? A bit of sand paper/metal file and some elbow grease may do the trick. Or maybe I am just being a bit to positive........

I can't see the cylinder upside down to see how thick the Iron Sleeve is but if its just the Flange Im seeing a the top it's 1/4 inch thick or so. A heavy thick wall sleeve will make the Cylinder weigh more. theres nothing else there flip the cylinder upside down and post a pic for us. Take a magnet to what you think is or isn't Aluminum, looks like typical Alum. Cylinder with Cast Iron Sleeve. That Head looks ruff, But what do we really expect for $34 bucks. It will work and run all for $34

Maybe these are returns? That's how the price is so low and why the packaging's messed up, still it looks like it'll work OK.

Don't you think the scratches will cause leaks between the cylinder and head? Can't feel it from here, but if you cant really feel them either the gasket will seal little scratches. You got a scratch here and there, but nothing that runs all the way from the cylinder to the edge.
