Best to go up and down with the throttle around 25 to 40 MPH to break it in BEFORE redlining it . A 2T is not as good on MPG as a 4T . Make sure it smokes a lil on startup . Good oil is smokeless or little when warm where weedeater junk can leave a com trail . Pull your sparkplug and see the color with this chart www.4secondsflat.com/plug_chart.html

It won't red line, around 43 to45MPH tach reads around 6 gran or so,it's a restricted scooter, and I don't know whats restricted. Smoking some on cold morning start up, but seems to stop after its warmed up.Also after it's warmed up it wont start until you give it a little throttle. There is some kind of valve hooked up to the header pipe, right before the muffler an 2 fuel filters, you"ll have to see it to know probably what I'm talking about. YEA I'M LOST MAN :' .S. I'll check that plug too, what kind iridium spark plug should I use also?(Using bel-ray scooter semi syn. 2t low smoke oil.)

NGKBRP8HIX . The reed valve on the exhaust blows it into the air box and no need for it . I capped mine off and it ran better but now I havea 70cc MMG pipe on it . Mine had a 8 grand redline . I have a the blue finning racing CDI from PFS and it helped on takeoff but when it was 49cc had the same top end . When I pulled the 49cc engine off I noticed the exhaust port was shaped like a D instead of an O like the BBK which flows and hits 10,500 where the 49cc fizzzled at 8,000+ RPMs . Do you have a TK carb ? Should say made in Japan on it

I doubt the cdi is restricted but the roller are probably on the heavy side keeping your rpms down but if your doing that kind of speed imo its not restricted and 2t smoke no biggie

Yes it says made in Japan on the carb. It is a pretty quick scoot! Twist the throttle and I'm gone! Nothing like those 4t's where it takes time to build up speed! LOL!!! Don't get me wrong I still like my VIP 63cc,but I don't miss those 10 inch wheels! To me those 12's ride like a Caddy, love those 12's

Another one of my 50 questions: Does anyone know how to put on one of these new kind of rear trunks? No holes to drill, just brackets an bolts to hold it on the rack. Maybe send me some directions on how too??

Hmm mine was easy to slide the bolts through . You might want to look at this trunk its for small scooters eshop.mainelyscooters.com/172-110 I have the Cooscase from there on my Echarm as the hinge broke on my factory trunk

I was checking out a performance exaust system from Scrappy for 140.00, I was wondering if it's any good an also will it fit my scoot without any mods?

For a performance pipe you are going to look for anything labeled for a Yamaha Zuma.
You can find them on ebay used for fairly cheap, like $50 or so.
A little throttle for starting is normal, especially after the choke cuts out.
As far as the brand goes its no big. They are all the same thing from the same factory.
That plastic metal painted piece should just pop back in if its the one I am thinking of, it has a bunch of little holes in it, yeah?
For 2 stroke engines I like top break them in with crappy chainsaw 2 stroke oil. Lawn boy or something from the gas station with a picture of a weed whacker on it. No I am not joking.
Then after a couple hundred miles switch to amsoil saber but I assume you are going to run oil injection so just whatever you can find at your local auto parts store with the words "synthetic" or "semi-synthetic" on it.
Thats a pretty good bike for the price.
Most of the "Chinese crap" label comes from the 4 stroke 50cc engine being just too complicated to manufacture cheaply so the Chinese cut corners and end up with a bunch of moving parts that can fail.
A 2 stroke engine is so much more simple that the possible points of failure (PPF) are cut to a fraction.
I know my way around Chinese scooters and truthfully most of the components are fine. Forks are nice, brakes are good, mag rims are fine, etc.
Thats that overly complicated under powered 4 stroke 50cc engine that screws them.
