The stock 2ts are faster than a stock 4t but with the mods I've done to my 4t smokes a stock 2t my stepsons friend has a 2t I just put a 72cc in his and he smokes the 2t also they raced . My 4t is fast not sure id want anything faster as small as it is I will do a gps vid when time permits I hit over 50 before and with my new hand made head I think I can hit 60 gps and will prove the naysayers wrong that a 50 4t cant go that fast. My scoot can smoke a 2t or even a stock 150 4t vid to follow

Millsc so we will get to race and see about that as my 2T is a screamer . Now the Geely and stand up go peds are slow since single speed chain driven instead of a CVT . To go faster you will need lighter or in some cases heavier roller weights to have more top end . If RPMs are low at top speed lighter will have RPMs higher . If it is screaming then heavier will go faster once its topped out . Get EFI like from www.ecotrons.com to replace the carb will make an improvement . My Echarm has Ducatti EFI and I outrun 150s like they were mopeds even with me having a passenger . Note my engine has 12.24 HP where most Gy6 150s have 8 or 9 HP . With smalls wheels expect as less top speed and ability to control it compared to having 16 inch wheels like me which is more like a crossover from scooter to motorcycle . To me a real scooter has doughnuts or fat tires

Sorry as I try to stay on topic and have drifted some . Millsc and and I have a 2T vs 4T friendly competition .
With EFI I have instant throttle response with never any stall or bogs . MPG is also better along with instant starts and it always idles the same speed unlike a carb that idles high when its cold then lessens when warmed up .
An engine is like an air pump as the faster you can get flow in and out of it the faster it can run like with a turbo . Normal breathing only requires muscles and lungs . When one has a hard time breathing they can get air from a tank or air pump in order for them to breathe as good as a healthy person . With EFI is pressurizing and spraying the fuel rather than sucked through a carb by the engines vacuum

[replyingto=scoot]scoot[/replyingto]Been there, done that. I found the biggest bang for the buck is to get a bigger scooter.

Low restriction exhaust, bigger carb, hotter cam. To really take advantage of them: bigger bore and stroke, higher compression ration. And if that does not do enough add a supercharger. It is usually cheaper just to transplant a bigger, more powerful engine into the existing chassis.

I am in no way wanting to bash the 150cc scooters, but it seems that if speed is what you need, top end, then sell the 150 and get a 250. The difference in price will be what you would have spent to make the 150 go faster and the 250 will out last it at the higher speeds. A good used 250 can be had for $1500 or even less if you do some looking. I got mine for $1000 with 500 miles on it. However, like has been said, BBK, cam, exhaust, bigger valves, CDI, Coil, jets, air filter, sliders, clutch, MONEY, will be the things you need to go fast.
