Is it possible that the ethanol n crap in the pump gas just isnt coloring my plug? Ive heard all the detergents n junk sometimes keep a plug from coloring we have e10 in california. Anyone have any experience in the matter? Should I be seeing color anyways?r Maybe im overthinking this but I want my scooter to last lol

you should be seeing some color at least. Don't think the ethanol has any effect on it, never changed my readings.
Sure the engine is covered in oil but combustion with too much air will run a lot hotter than you think it would, its the gas that cools down the engine.
Post a pic of your plug? Does it looks glazed from heat?

That's the point I was trying to say I let in my mechanical training into it trying to say if it not broke don't fix it. I understand people wanting to improve something but taking stabs and guess is bad. If you have a exhaust analyzer now you know were you are and were you need to be. Best info is Rapid Jim or some who works in field. Heck if anything sure gor people thinking here right?

There are a couple here who not only work in the field but at a High Mfg level and work closely with Factory Race teams on there Engine Development programs. I mostly bite my tounge on the Plethora of Misinformation that abounds. |
