In addition, what is the history and how is scooterdawg related to itstheride, scooterdoc, scooterprof and possibly the rebel one.... Did a group of people have different ideas of direction, so they split in different directions, agreeing to close scooterdawg? ScooterDawg looks like a perfectly good forum and always shows up in my google results.... why is it closed?

Let's just say that ScootDawg was down to one active admin, with the "owner" being pretty much non-participating by then. And proboards' rules got things sticky. So JR and Doug started this forum, keeping to the tradition established by the DawgPound.
So while we "old timers" miss the Dawg, we've found a very nice home indeed right here.

lol forum boards sometimes get drama and things change or the admin shut it down, I used to run a musicians forum, it was online since the 's, then one day a couple of years ago the drama was just too much of a hassle to keep it online, everyone hated everyone, there was no point in keeping the thing online so members could be mean to each other. Some people just can't get along

ScootDawg was sold to the admin who moved it to a different host however it was messy even for some of the sponsors when they saw banners indicating that they were sponsoring a new group on a different host without their knowledge and then there was the moving of content in violation of the original hosts (ProBoards) Terms of Usage.
It all got sorted and we ended up here with the original content left on ScootDawg for reference.

It was what it was and should still be in the locked threads if your really interested in the past. No need for any heat its just history now.
