If i twist the a/f screw maybe a 16th of a turn either way it's too much gas and pe-uks or too much air and have to let off the throttle to let it catch up. right now I got it to a happy medium but still sputters wot at take-off when warm. it doesn't do none of this when simi-warm. if I let up to about 3/4 throttle it catches up. giv it a little gas (just about to engage the clutch) at a light and it goes wot but not as it should. I'm thinking that springs are getting too hot and getting mushy, spongy, whatever on that part. any thoughts about my choking bike. lol??

1. Check your Vacuum line going to the Petcock just take if off and see if it is wet. 2. Check your Enricher after it warms up, just take if off and see if it is extended. 3. What kind of Air Filter do you have on there? Alleyoop

to alleyoop: I just bought new hose for fuel-in, a crack in the old one. what size of hose do I need? I got 3/16" clear hose and a 1/4" inline stone-like filter, I call it a cartridge type filter. I will check the vac to petcock! get it pet-cock, ha ha. The enricher is fine. everthing's stock. the four hole re-stricktor on the snorkle tube is on, but, modified. do you want pics on modification. it worked well untill I took off the pair sys. I was thinking of putting the pair sys back on and see if that does it. If you think of anything else. I am mechaniclly inclined so working on this scoot is no prob. so easy to work on!

Ok, the four hole snorkle cover one hole at a time and see if that helps those 4 hole snorkles let in to much air. Alleyoop

Ah, so the PETCOCK is leaking then and it is sucking in gas on the down stroke. Since you took off the PAIR system did you plug it up good. Alleyoop

Take that the fuel hose off the carb and put it in a container and then take that vacuum hose and suck on it and fuel should come out of into the container. BUT Watch out sucking on it if it is leaking you will swallow gas, so better use like a baster or something to create suction and then take it off and see if gas comes out the vacuum line as well. If so you need a new Petcock it is leaking. Alleyoop

that was the thing it didn't get enough from the four holes and had to open it up for summer. returned it back to four holes for winter. it could be the weather though. I'll post the pics in a few of the four hole restrictor

well lets get one thing at a time figured out. Since you said the Vacuum line is wet that means it is getting sucking in fuel from the vacuum line. So get that confirmed first otherwise that alone will throw everything else off. Alleyoop

yes pluged good. though it wouldn'e run right so connected to the big hose off of the vv cover is the filter that goes on after the pair can. that's the only part that is open. the big hose sucks in and it blows out. normal not sure. on the vac hose to petcock I'll use the brake bleeder.

I do not understand about the hose you mention. The pair system has to be blocked where it connects to on the head and everything else taken off and plugged. The other hose near the TOP of the Valve cover is the CRANKCASE VENT hose coming off of that. That hose you can put a fuel filterr on the end of it and zip tie it high on the frame IT HAS TO VENT no kinks on the hose. If it connects to the AIR FILTER then plug that up. Alleyoop

Alleyoop, The tube I'm talking about connects to #3 in the 4th diag pic on this page: www.chinese-parts-canada.com/parts_gy6_139qmp.htmlthe tube that comes off number 3 goes to the canister valve like thing. (Pair) it's a double vac line intake one line goes to the petcock and the other one goes to the bottom of the canister. now, when wot the vac opens the canister to let the engine breath, i suppose. kinda like a pcv valve, come to think of it. let off trottle valve closes. the top tube coming off of the canister has a filter. when I took the pair sys off this is what I did. I pluged one vac off intk. re-routed the vac to ptck, instead of the 120* turn it was making and straightened its' path, also shortened the tubing. the big tube coming off of num. 3 on the diag. is now free-flow with the pair filter in line. if I plug this line she runs with lacking power and wants to die. So, I kept it open (to breath) with the filter in-line walkthrough: carb, tube to the air box, air box, filter cage and filter, snorkle tube, and four hole restrict peice. now the 4hole I cut out. I cut a speaker grill to fit inside the 4hole as a screen. I then cut a small round lock key so when placed on the front of the 4hole 4 holes exist. when placed on the screen it gives a little more air. note: I did this thinking that I had no a/f scrw (before carb clean and found it) and adjusted the air flow this way. the crankcase vent tube went to the snorkle tube (before the airbox, after the 4hole). I cant plug it and I know it needs to vent. unconnected it, yes, I took a fuel filter and set it in-line. The diags in the above site are exactly what my engine looks like to the tee. if there is something I missed then exuse me. I'll write in later.

Here is what you have and you need to take the whole curved piping off and plug up the Head where the Piping connected to the Head. First picture is what you Valve Cover looks like with the Pair valve connected to the Valve cover and the Other end of the Pipe is connected to the HEAD. PIC #1 is what your Valve cover looks like with the Pair system on it. 1. Take all 4 bolts off and the whole thing comes off. PIC #2 Shows the Hole in the head plugged up with a metal piece and screwed down. 2. You then need a Metal Cap to plug up the hole in the head and use the same screws to hold the metal plate cap down.(PIC #2 Shows the Metal Cap Plate). You can make your own or you can buy it here: www.monstergy6.com/product_engine_parts.htmThen you take off the canister and everything, the Vacuum line going to the Canister plug it up at its Origin.
