No. The new head is just the head and valves. The pictures just show the damage that I found once I took apart the engine. The picture with the cam also shows the cam assembly that this engine has. The rockers are on the other side. Id contact DongFang as this should be covered under warranty...

We already have a head coming with the warranty, but it is 1-2 months out since the vendor did not have this head in stock and it is on a backorder now, or so they say. I sent pictures of this damage and requested a new cam with the head and associated gaskets for replacement. So far the vendor has communicated with us in a timely manner.

This is a one month update. The head was still on back order so we ordered a new head and gasket. As luck would have it, the new head arrived without the head gasket. Turns out the head gasket was on backorder from the place we ordered it from. Go figure. So Now I have a head and just found out the cam was damaged too. Try and find a cam for this thing!
Well since we did not have any other choice I decided to go old school. I had been told by old timers that you could save a head gasket by using silver, gold or copper paint. Just paint on a couple of coats to each side, let it dry between coats and bolt it in. The paint has metal particles in it so it will allow a recompression. Being somewhat a believer in old school techniques I decided what they heck, I'll give it a try. Four weeks later still running great, that is even with a prolonged WOT. Instead of paint though I used Permatex Copper Gasket. I thought that it might have a higher copper particle count. Problem is it does not dry and stays sticky. Had to work around that. It states that it is able to withstand temps to over 500 degrees.
Fist I cleaned the gasket and engine parts with starting fluid. Starting fluid works great at removing contaminates and does not leave a residue behind.
Then I lifted the gasket up off the surface a bit so it would not get glued down once sprayed.
Gasket installed and ready for head installation.

Cometicgasket.com Concord Ohio 800/752-9850 if they don't have it they can custom cut from a plethora of materials and thickness. you can throw a Copper head gasket in a oven at 500 for awhile and reused but fooling yourself on that above method. I never saw it work even in a ol Don Deere whopping 3,600 rpm motor.

The starting fluid works as a cleaner (Ether). I keep a tin of Laquer Thinner on hand to do the same but a little more controlled.
