what size tire do you have now, but must of them are always off no mater what size you have. the larger the better but can only go so big on the short cases with the ten inch tires.

Sure. However the 12 stands for the rim diameter. If you have 10's under it, with 3.5 tires, you probably have the largest on them possible (without touching the frame or fenders.

there is 12 inch rims for a short case motor but it has to have low profiles 100/60/12 which will make it the same height has the ten with 3.5 inch tires i think the taotao t3 have this tires taotao.us/index.cfm/scooters/cy50-t3/ and i had one it looks good but didnt like the feel of those skinny tires ride wise and steering wise compared to the 3.50-10 or the 120-70-12

The front wheel is where the speed is measured, you might get a 12 on the front, the fender would have to come off and be modified most likely.

13" will give you the most accurate registered speeds. Alleyoop

Alternatively you could always remove the tupperware, create your own speedo indicator on plastic or paper, and glue it under the speedometer pointer.

My 50cc trike has a 13" front tire and the spedo is off by about 7 mph. I don't even really look at it any more. I have a koso digital meter installed and also use a gps.

Do not even have to go that far into it make it easy on yourself: Print out numbers 0-7 or whatever and just stick them on the outside glass/plastic like so. I did this on mine because the outside big numbers are in KM/H and the inside small blue numbers are MPH and where hard to read in the sunlight. Alleyoop

Get ya some of that clear decal stuff made to use in printers. then you can custom print it and just stick it over the plastic.

The 10s are the worse off as the hubs are made for 13s . In my tests with radar my 13s displayed 4 MPH over at diff speeds where my 16s was only 1 MPH over at several test runs
