well idk mine has 3 air vents so its ok and its dark, huh? now when i wear my 3/4 i feel the diff. i know the stats 'most accidents happen closer to home' but if its hot and im just running 10 rural city {class 4} dead city, blocks to the deli i wear my 3/4 idk Speaking of the stat....I am taking the written portion of the motorcycle test Thursday and that is one of the questions.... Luckily I dont have to do both test in the same day with the cold weather I have. THe told me I can take written now and driveing portion when warmer..But i'll be able to ride anyway if I have another person cruising along side with me.

Since my head is where (hopefully) my brains are I don't believe in skimping. A Shoei Modular. It makes putting on glasses, taking a quick drink or stopping to chat, (especially about scoots) much easier. Plus if I do go down face first, no pesky reconstructive surgery is needed.

Hi Get the highest quality you can and one that has been tested and approved by Snell or dot A brain injury can happen with the slightest amount of force, it doesn't take much to get the brain bouncing around in the skull You could fall while standing or walking and sustain one My wife runs the Kennedy Centers ABI ( Acquired Brain Injury) program and i have seen first hand how easily it can happen and the devastating consequences that ensues www.thekennedycenterinc.org/what-we-do/programs-services/acquired-brain-injury.htmlTake care and ride safely dear friends Yours Hank

My brother was in a car wreck at 16yrs old car flipped 3 times only injury was him hitting head on door frame...not a single cut or broken bone. he spent the next 25 yrs in a coma and passed away Christmas Eve 07' Thats why I am trying to make sure I get the best possible one I can. Dont want to put my parents or kids through that again.

ARMOR UP!

Hi I'm so very sorry to hear that, you have my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences The day God called you home God looked around his Garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain. And knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes, He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain, We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide, You live on through your children, you're always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you on the day God called you home. ~Author Unknown Take care and Ride safely dear friend Yours Hank

That is life. I just want to find the best protection for me to wear so hopefully if I ever crash (knock on wood) I walk away still being the nutty me I am.

I wear a 3/4 helmet made by hjc as I find the 3/4 style to be the best compromise of safety and comfort for me, when riding in cold weather I wear a ski mask under my helmet and tuck it into my jacket.

Full face all the way. The reason is I don't want anything hitting me in the face! Plus I'm ugly enough. LOL

buying a helmet is one of the thing i suggest you NOT do on line---UNLESS you know your exact size and the company has a good return policy.
Not really. Online sellers are pretty good (especially Amazon). Sizes is another thing, If your head is L, you'll fit in M and L, or L and XL, and if you're lucky, you can fit in M, L and XL. That's why the padding is there for.
