Actually joey, it doesn't SOUND like all that bad a movie. But you're totally right, it sure LOOKS like a bad one. Cute idea, probably terribly executed.
I do like the green color.

Actually, I think it's pretty cool that they're using a non-supermodel as the star of the show. Usually in movies it's the ultra-unrealistically gorgeous women like Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, and Sharon Stone who get starring roles in stuff like that. It might be a dumb comedy, but at least we can score 1 for the mediocre people!

Hm. I checked again. She goes from a regular open scooter (in loverly green) to a covered scooter (in similar loverly green). Different scenes clipped together for the trailer, or an editor (or director) not paying attention?
Still think this could've been cute, if they'd made her a bit less of a cartoon character ("I'll let you up.") and allowed the comedy to be natural from her going from clerk and support to active in the field.

I don't now. I chuckled three or four times during that trailer. I think I'll scoot on over and see it when it comes out. I just have that silly sense of humor I guess.

I'm afraid I mis-titled this thread. That scoot is a Beemer, at second glance. BMW was trying to include so many safety features in that enclosed scooter, like safety belts, that a helmet would not be required. Sales of the enclosed scoot declined when BMW was not able to get that helmet exemption. I'm a fan of Melissa McCarthy, and I think her wit can salvage a movie with a weak plot. "Identity Thief" was my favorite movie of hers.

Mirrors change too. I'm hoping it's cobbled scenes.
And if you do go see it in the theatre, william or bender, be sure to post in the movies thread how it is and if it's worth big-screen dollars, or wait for the library to get it.
