Oh yeah,,good idea with the rubber hose,,
And yeah Geh,,the scoops dont stick out into the open air far enough,,Im going to have to mod mine one of these days with some PVC. Atleast its gettin cooler air thats away from the header pipe a little bit...
Here is a video of mine stock 57mm with exhaust and uni...the camera was crap and has a noise gate that kicks in after I rev it but you get the idea..dont sound bad for a stock block does it?The open CVT's are a little noisy but who cares!

Sounds good . damn your scoot is clean ! I haven't cleaned mine up in awhile, also I don't have a garage to park mine in so it sits on the porch . it tends to rust in certain spots due to moisture reaching it . I'm going out to start it and make a video . hopefully the neighbors don't mind .

Here is my vid . you can really hear the CVT . with it cut open as much as it is and the sound bouncing of the house its pretty loud. These videos really cut out the deeper exhaust sound . u can also see my porch is my garage , lol.

I wasn't able to hit the throttle hard while holding my phone . I have no center stand ",safety reasons ". Even when I had my center stand on my back wheel still stayed grounded . kinda wondering if anyone else's scoot is like that . I'm not sure if it has to do with the bigger framed scoots or what ?

Yeah Jerry bout the only thing that scoop does is help keep from sucking the heated air coming off of the header. I just put it on there because I only paid like 4 bucks for it. Being winter I'm not too conserned about putting something better on there. I'll end up doing something like what Geh has before summer. Geh, it does sound hella deeper than my cell could pick up. Tom, one thing I tried and it almost worked was using a small radiator hose to attach the carb to the intake. The rubber connector that comes with these intakes has a gap between the 2 that pushes the carb up against the cross bar. 1/16th of an inch less and it would have worked and saved me a bunch of trouble. That's actually what I had to do " use a piece of radiator hose from the manifold to the carb " I forgot about that. With my 32mm carb the rubber connector was to long pushing the carb into the crossbar " the diaphragm cap that is " I haven't had the carb off in 3 yrs .its been a reliable setup so far.

My bike pivots backwards when I put things in the trunk, otherwise the front wheel is on the ground.

Nice,, I cant believe how good the ebay exhaust sounds on that! Also it fired right up for a cold start,,you need to strap your phone to it some how and do a hot lap..lol..sounds good!
BTW-My scoot is not as clean as that,,the video is over a year old but its just dusty now..I always put it up on the stand and spray the wheels, motor, and CVT area down with LA Awesome,,then brush it off and rinse,,it helps to degrease them a few times a year...then i just spray wax the covers and hit the rubber and plastic with a good silicone spray.

geh3333 Mine was actually hitting the dang bottom of the pumper on the carb. Here's mine as of today. I was outside rejetting the carb and took this pic. My motor is very sensitive the changes in weather. Hot or cold more than 30 degrees and I have to rejet. A change in air temps 10 degrees + or - and I have to readjusting the air fuel mix. It runs fine if I don't, but for it to be running like a swiss clock, I have to tune. I don't mind playing with the tune and I'm OCD about how it runs. It's in the high 70s today so I had to lean it out some. i1287.photobucket.com/albums/a624/xyshannen1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150106_125747_zpstla0yqgb.jpgi1287.photobucket.com/albums/a624/xyshannen1/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150106_130033_zpsahawafvl.jpgAs a side note, you can see the cut up 2 gal gascan that I cut and installed as a much better replacement of the old plastic rear tire cover/fender that attached to my old stock exhaust. It sucked and didn't do jack for protecting my engine from road grime. The can pretty much blocks off the whole engine compartment from the rear wheel. I just cut it to fit in the frame between the carb and the battery box/rear wheel. Then zip tied it to the frame.

Cool,, Its nice to know that a carb can be mounted like that and still perform well...looks like you made the intake out of a few different intakes and cut/put them together to your needs...great thinking/tinkering there for sure xyshannen.

It's a mix of 3, a 3 inch 30mm tunnel ram, a clocking intake spacer, and a 30mm Hoca intake.
An added benefit of a setup like this is it's really easy mess with the air/fuel mix and I can pull the carb and swap out jets and reinstall and tune in less than 30 mins.

I think I got lucky with my 32mm pumper carb , it fits in the usually space and I can still get to the air fuel pretty easy. As for taking it out , after u mentioned it I remember the bottom of the pumper isn't hitting anything as it sits however it does make it a little tough to remove , as it hits the cross bar when pulling it out . u have a nice setup there X
