Saw this on the cheap and decided it was mine. Need to identify the engine so I can find the vac diagrams for it. It's 150cc, has an auto enricher. I'm diggin the drilled ABS disk system. Anyone have more info on this engine for me so I can start doing maintenance with the proper tech sheets?

Nice find, good price!
Look on the left lower side of your engine near the front of the CVT cover area. There should be a number stamped there, it's most likely some form of 157QMJ. There are tons of parts available, stock and performance, and even that body style is common enough to find replacement panels if needed.
Enjoy your new ride!

Nice. Just started my own scooter project with an ~$300 150cc Craigslist scoot, 2013 w 370 miles. People get them, run into problems, don't get them fixed, let them sit for a while, then sell 'em! I've seen several come and go in my area, in just the few months that I have been looking.

Standard long case 157qmj,,great price,,i saw one for $400 with no compression other day real nice shape,,almost bought it,,but I want to save up for a maddog 150 with the 205 rear tire man,,they are bada$$ looking!!
Alot of times people give these away because they lose compression due to the valves becoming too tight and not seating,,very easy fix..also a leak down test will help spot where the issue is if it has low compression..listen for air from exhaust, intake,or crankcase.
None the less Nice find brother!!!

I'm going to remove all of the vacuum system from the head, all of the canisters, gas tank, everything and plug it all off however it looks like I will need to keep the vacuum line on the side of the carb that pulls the diaphragm out is that the only one and should I just use the valve cover line to do that?

Some have a vacuum port on the valve cover, some on the intake manifold.
It looks like you have a manual fuel petcock, the red valve in the middle of your fuel line. Those don't use a vacuum, you have to remember to turn it on and off. You'll need to put a plug over the unused vacuum port that would have gone to the stock fuel petcock (whether it's on the valve cover, or the intake manifold).

I have the same engine and vacuum line setup that you want.
From the factory there are several vent line connections that can be redirected. They did it that way for EPA standards, however in my opinion only foul up the engine quicker with dirty gas and screw with the air-fuel ratio.
From the crankcase you will have one vent tube. From your pictures it appears to already be vented to atmosphere. The factory setting would have directed it to the airbox.
The vent tubing from your valve cover also should be vented to atmosphere.
So for vacuum lines you should only have one that originates from the intake manifold to the carburetor. The airbox should only have fresh air going into it. Your gas tank may also have a vent tube, this is to prevent a vacuum from occurring. If it doesn't your gas cap will have a vent. Determining where your gas tank vents is important to prevent vapor lock. You do not want your gas tank vent plugged or clogged.

I put a fuel filter on the end of a line from my gas tank vent,,zip tied it as high as I could so it wouldn't leak all over my CVT cover..that breather on your valve cover can also go to a fuel filter and be zip tied to the frame somewhere out of the way..only vacuum line I have is to my carb from the intake,,think it goes to the ACV valve but have not looked in a while..took all the canisters and EGR crap off,,plugged all holes.
Never understood why most motors run a breather into the air cleaner,,its such a bad design,,makes for a mess everywhere and really doesn't help the environment out anymore IMO.
You can probably mount a UNI pod filter right inside that airbox if you want like i did..drilled a few holes, then jetted..runs like an ape!

.... Never understood why most motors run a breather into the air cleaner,,its such a bad design,,makes for a mess everywhere and really doesn't help the environment out anymore IMO... The breather from the valve cover to the air intake allows the small amount of vapors to be redirected back into your engine. It's not only about the ecological benefits, it's supposed to help with mileage as well, since those vapors are mostly fuel, and they get re-used in this sort of system. IMHO, this is just jumping the shark, so I just add a fuel filter to the valve cover breather tube and and zip tie it high up on the frame.

I'm diggin the drilled ABS disk system. if they are anything like the ones on my jonway then be cautious. i tested mine on wet pavement when i first got the scoot... they don't work, lol.

The Chinese ABS used on scooters is nothing like what we call ABS in the US. The Chinese ABS is only designed to prevent a lockup due too much pressure being applied, using some sort of pressure release. What we think of as ABS in the US uses sensors to determine if the wheels are locking up. Here's a brief article describing each, and what you can expect from your scooter's Chinese ABS system: ABS Braking on ScootersI love the part at the end where the author says some argue that Chinese ABS stands for Antilock Braking Sticker!

Yup,,I can put myself right over the bars on mine if I squeeze them hard enough..they work good...never liked ABS anyway,,sometimes you need to lock up a wheel to slide you out of a hairy situation..Im sure there is a mod to bypass that china Absolute Bull _hit system...
