I wear full gear, put a few bucks in my wallet, and throw a diet coke under the seat. I have only gone on a few rides with friends and we usually hit a little bar for lunch somewhere out in the sticks.
I don't own a cellphone.

a few tools and a two piece rain suit are always under my seat. On a longer ride I'll have a liter bottle with some spare gas 750ml maybe. Often water. a Have a bungee net, and a couple cinch straps if I need to carry anything - I had my knapsack and heavy jacket cinched on while I rode with my lighter jacket at Amerivespa last year. I've carried groceries that way too. Bungees help locate items, but the cinch straps keep stuff from moving.
@ terrilee - You must be on pretty longs rides to need Depends. ;D

Depends on the ride. I'll pack differently if going on a group ride through the country than on the way to work. My work commute is about 35 miles each way. I've got saddle bags, so I usually carry a bunch of stuff. My normal inventory is: Rain suit - 2 piece Gloves - several different pair for freezing, cold, warm, plus glove liners. Scooter cover Spare helmet - only a 1/2 helmet will fit under the seat on my scoot. microfiber rag for cleaning the huge Givi windscreen bungee net Doo Rags prescription sunglasses prescription goggles tool kit insurance cards gremlin bells
On a group ride, I'll pack different weight jackets if it's cool. I've got a cup holder hanging on the bag clip, so sometimes I pack water or an insulated coffee tumbler.

Yep depends on the ride, the destination, and the season.

What I always carry and wear which is full gear with cell phone, rain suit, tools, flashlight, spare spark plug, extra gloves, rags, bungies, Ziploc bags, pucks for parking on sand,my folding cane and a few trash bags which can serve as tarps, seat covers, etc. Additionally I will bring a GPS, camera, bagged lunch, thermos of coffee, fishing rod, tackle box or if the destination requires a suit jacket, tie, etc. Never leave without enough cash to buy gas to get home as you could get stuck in the boonies where the phones are down and you can't use a credit or bank card or find yourself knocking on a door begging for gas to get you back to civilization as most folks aren't equipped to take plastic at home.

Puncture repair kit, thats anotha good one Yeah it's a tubeless one so doesn't take up much space. It's just a reamer, rubber glue and these weird oval bungs you push through the hole with the reamer, a razor knife to trim the excess and three CO2 canisters to re-inflate. My entire bucket contents can fit inside my helmet as well, for when I go to the shops etc. The only thing I'm really missing is a pair of needle nose pliers in the tool kit (it's just a couple of spanners and a flip/flop screwdriver) for helping with hose clips. But generally if I can't fix it with that kit, I need recovery to a mechanic anyway: hence the charged phone! Lol Ian
