The scooter is a Tao Tao Paladin150cc and doesnt even have a full mile on it.
Im here to solve the issues before any thing gets worse
When i 1st got the scooter it would idle for 20 secs, high beam will flicker, then slow down then die, unless you give it some gas then it would stay running
I since changed the OE spark plug with a NGK that I cross referenced. Now it will idle much longer but it now idles rough with alot of vibration . I will check to make sure its snug later
I havent changed the oil and it does look low, could that be a issue?
Since changing the Spark plug, i think it may be running hotter...possibly just in my head idk
My other issues are in regards of the gauges like speedometer and Fuel dont seem to be working at all. I filled it with Premium Gas, Still the needle is on E. I rev the engine and the speedometer is not moving
So those are my only concerns. The scooter is Brand New so looking for some solutions
Also when I took off the seat noticed this green cable is not hooked to anything , same with a hose, not sure if normal

The lubricants a scooter is shipped with are just for storage and shipping so they all need to be changed before you start the bike up for the first time. The brakes should also be flushed and the fluid replaced with fresh clean high grade brake fluid.
The engine will usually be tight and need to be run-in along with most times the carburetor adjusted and the idle speed set. On some the valves will require adjustment within a few minutes of first starting the engine.
You have to perform all the Pre Delivery Inspections ( PDI ) that a dealership normally would do in a brick and mortar store if the bike was bought in a crate off the internet. Internet vendors generally just ship the bikes out without touching them so you have to do everything yourself such as check every nut and bolt to ensure that they are tight. You may even need to use a fuel system cleaner and top end lubricant to get the valves working freely if the bike has been sitting in a dockside warehouse for a while or other humid location.
Flush and change those lubricants and check for loose fasteners before you try to start it again. The you may have to just up the idle speed for a while until the engine breaks in. After about 200 miles change the engine oil and gear lube, check the valve adjustent and after the valves are adjusted check the carburetor adjustment in that order. If you adjust the carburetor before the valves you will usually need to redo the carburetor so you will save yourself the effort of doing it twice by adjusting the valves first.

New Chinese scooters come filled with fish oil (or equiv) - should be drained and refilled with real engine oil before 1st mile. Here is link to the PDI I think most people follow: x1scooters.com/pdi.htmlAgain - before first mile. No need to cross check plugs, etc. - all that info is readily available here and elsewhere. Green wire is usually ground; check the wiring schematic on your scooter to be sure. Like you, I got my scooter (3 months ago) thinking it would be like owning a car or large motorcycle. Not so. Chinese scooters are cheap for a reason; you need to become familiar with it's weak points and address them so you have a fun & reliable ride. Scooters are kind of a sub-cult .... people get really into them, not just turn the key and go. Example: my engine is apart (700 miles) to get a larger bore piston & head; many other changes already. I own a Goldwing and did not do anything like that to it. Scooters are different - like a family member. Care and feeding. Care and feeding.

Hey mucho what do you mean you rev the engin and the speedo dosent move ? The speedo won't move unless your front wheel is turning . Maybe u meant the rpm gauge ?
