Does anyone know what the springs are on the center stand for a GY6C 150cc scooter. I can not get mine to come off the stand without fighting and fighting it. As a result I use the kickstand but you can not start the scooter with the kickstand out.
Thank you.

From what I've read , when the switch is grounded the scoot will not start . Just like my pioneer DVD player in my car . It has a wire your suppose to ground to the parking brake but it's a little more complicated then most . I works like a relay so I hooked it to a manual switch and if I want to watch a movie while the car is in drive I have to turn the switch off then on again .

I took my center stand off becaus it would sometimes drag when I went through turns ." I lean a little much " . I should still have my springs laying around .

Is the center stand all rusty or something that is making it hard for you to put get it on and off the center stand? Oil the spots where it rotates to free it up some and make it rotate up and down easier. Alleyoop

He had me confused " obviously" . He mentioned the spring and then said has to fight to get it off of the stand . This has been a bad month for me LOL . I don't think I've ever been this off . I think I need to take a break from thinking LOL .

It is easy to get it down but it sure does not want to come up without fighting the bike so I assumed that the springs were getting stretched, although this bike only has 1500 miles on it and was never used that much but I tend not to even use the center stand any more and use the side kickstand instead. That is ok in the summer but it is difficult to impossible to start when it cools below 50 degrees so it would be nice to have it on the center stand.
