Anyone know the "Best" unrestricted cdi & high performance ignition coil for gy6 150cc ?
Thinking my advanced curve cdi is not all its supposed to be / or is wearing out. Do they wear out slowly - or just fail ?

Which CDI do you currently have ? CDIs usually just fail, some create havoc with the rpms tough. Alleyoop

I don't know the exact type - E-bay buy... It was blue with the advance curve schematic picture on it.

When it comes to some of the cheaper crap like the blue cdi from eBay I must be the luckiest s.o.b . Lol , I've had mine in for about 3 yrs also and never had a problem with it . There are many different blue cdi's on eBay is there one that's better than others ? Mine says racing on it and has the timing graph also on it . I also got the cheaper orange coil , I changed the boot when I got it just because I looked cheap and I've never had a problem with it . And yes I'm knocking on some wood.

Hahaha,, I got both an orange and blue from ebay,,they work good under power but make my idle rough and hard startin from the timing change,,I found a great black one on ebay last year,,it has rev limit bypass and is slightly advanced but my scoot starts great and runs smooth,,i cant find the CDI anymore,,should have bought 3 of them...guess my next one will be from John here...he has the good ones too..

Yeah there are some good eBay dealers , I get my gates belts from a place in Georgia and they always get here in two days . I ordered a gates Kevlar 842 from napa before and it looked like it was from the 1940's , lol . It looked wore and had an old packaging I've never seen .

To be honest with you,,I think I have been running fake gates belts,,cause the package said made in china,,they seem to hold up good so far??

Gates if I'm not mistaken are made in china , but are a very good belt . Some companies that are based in china still are of good quality they just save money paying the workers less and also the taxes are usually higher in the U.S
