I have a 50cc with a 50 mm airsal kit, i just had to order a new kit and rebuild because my engine started knocking so i took it apart and the piston lip was bent upward on the very top lip of the piston on both sides opposite of the wrist pin axis. i assumed the wrist pin froze up and that caused my problem but i completely rebuilt the engine and checked the crank, it was ok so i put back together with the new kit and took it apart after running for a few minutes and the piston and cylinder were both scraped...what is going on! here are pics

When you go and torque anything you always want to go corner to corner. First you go crisscross get them all nice and snug then go back crisscross again torquing each one down. Alleyoop

stripped nut/threads/studs could be why it doesnt torque did you replace studs and nuts, check for bad threads in engine case?

Ihats what I thought , stripped threads. If it's stripped u. Def want to replaced the stripped nut or stud . Especially if it's the cylinder stud / nut .

i torqued to 19 ft lb. and none of the threads were stripped inside or out of case, studs, or nuts. there was just one stud that doesnt get the pressure required to click my torqe wrench, i think its just stretching the stud to the point where its about to break so i ordered more. but im more worried about why the damage is being done to my jug and piston and whats causing it, do you think its the one stud not being tight enough? it still gets tight, probly about 15 ft lbs but not where it should be

Did you check your ring gaps before installing? It's unusual, but definitely possible for rings that are not gapped properly to expand under heat and scrape the cylinder walls.

Seems as if the piston may be to loose in the cylinder, that is the rings may be to loose causing the piston itself being able to wiggle enough to hit the cylinder wall .
