I went to the auto store and get replacements for all of my vacuum lines. I'm working on cutting them to size now.

I replaced all vac lines. The old clamps didn't work perfectly, some too big some too small. Will have to work that out tomorrow. Can I use zip ties as clamps?
Anyway, still bogging out on throttle

Yes many use zip ties and they work great.
Well we have been attacking this as if it is getting to much air MAYBE we have never tested it for just flooding out with to much gas. So a quick test is take that LITTLE FOAM FILTER out from the SMALL INTAKE that lets air into the AIR BOX. See if that helps.

I think it's flooded right now, after running for 10 mins it won't start and I smell a hint if gas. I took the sponge out, it was wet. Will keep trying to start it

Well if the sponge was wet from fuel then it is flooding. Ok take the paper filter out and try it just as a test, that filter may be cutting to much air from it. Alleyoop

Can I leave the air filter cover off while I test or does it need to be installed for compression or something?

You can leave it off we just want to see if it needs more air and you should fine out real quick if that is the problem. If it starts it may idle higher then give it some throttle and see if it still bogs. Alleyoop

Still seems to be bogging out on throttle with the air filter out, but maybe not as bad.

I took off the carb and opened the bowl. The float seems to be at the correct position.

did you get the idle and throttle cable slack figured out?
did you ever change the needle position? have you had it apart and seen where its at? which needle clip position. on the needle it should have different spots to put the clip on the needle. from top to bottom. like, 4 or 5. maybe 3.

Throttle cable slack is good. I can't get to the needle because the carb screws keep stripping.

i had that. i used a a set of pliers on the side of teh screws. but your needle if youve never messed with it should be good.
try to turn the idle down as far as it goes, the screw should, actually, screw out. and it only is attached to the bar ur throttle cable pulls on. and it screws, into, on the thing it stops against. someone probably messed with your carb since the throttle cable was messed with. you got a picture of it, and the throttle calbe and all that? right at the carb where it hooks on.

I made a video of it. The video shows the hard starting, and at the end, it shows it bogging out on throttle.

UNBELIEVEABLE, Ok screwing in the IDLE speed screw all that is doing is Opening up the BUTTERFLY and uncovering more of the FUEL OUTLETS and a little more air. So Try this get it to the point where it bogs like in the last part of your VIDEO idleing around 1600 or so. THEN TURN THE FUEL RATIO SCREW COUNTER CLOCKWISE 1 FULL TURN and then see if it bogs. If it gets better turn it 1/4 turn at a time. If the idle climbs lower the idle down to the 1600 range BEFORE the NEXT 1/4 turn UNTIL the IDLE does not climb. Alleyoop
