My friend's scooter is at it again! Haha...I think he's going to try and sell it soon, but until then....
The problem he is having is that when he tries to give the scooter gas, it shuts off. He can turn it on and it idles, but as soon as he touches the throttle it shuts off. What are the troubleshooting steps?

What was changed or added or what was done, something was done to effect the fuel delivery problem that it has. They just don't do that after it has been running good, they may bog a little due to temp change from cold to warmer temps but that just requires a little tweak on the fuel ratio. Alleyoop

i'll throw my 2 cents in here... this happened on my atm50 just before i got ready to sell it. i cleaned the carb and the symptoms disappeared. hopefully it is that easy for you. if not, alleyoop is sure to diagnose the problem for you.

Thank you for the help. He had not used it for over a week (and it was a cold week) so he did have to jump it to get it started. I'm hoping when I go over there and try a couple more times it just starts working.

Bad gas , dirty carb or a vacuum leak all can do that . Poiur in some Sea Foam or remove the jets in the bowl and clean by hand .
