Hey Folks, I need some help, a week ago I bought an almost new (1200km) 2012 TaoTao EVO 150cc Scoot and over this past weekend a psyco woman at my complex "knocked" it over and scarred up the right side and I would like to get it repainted with the factory color. My problem is I can't find the Color Code or Paint #....So far all I can find out is that it's called " Burgundy Red", ( see my pic ) a lot of different paint manufactures carry Burgundy colored paint and no 2 are the same, so I was trying to figure out who makes it and where I can get it from.
Thanks a bunch for any info you can share. Brian

That information you will never find, don't forget the paint they used is from CHINA. Best you can do is try and find the closest match. Alleyoop

If you're lucky enough to have an auto paint store that does computer color matching that might work, other than that I'd try using a contrasting color to the main body panels.

Hey thanks for the reply, I still can't find anybody that knows who makes the paint....DuPont, Krylon, etc. I do understand that the paint is from China, but about % of the Scooter in the USA are from China, so you'd think somebody has repainted one of these back to Factory colors over the years.....and knows something about the paint. If I don't hear anything positive by the weekend, I'm gonna take a panel off and go to a couple of the automotive paint stores we have here in Charlotte and see if the guy can match it up with his computer (thanks for that suggestion spandi ) or maybe by test spraying on the inside of the panel. The scratches are not real deep, but will need a little bit of sanding and then sprayed/airbrushed in with the color. They are not real bad but they are in the most obvious place to see (right rear side panel by the seat and right side of front fairing under the turn signal, if your sitting on the bike) and since the Scoot was perfect, just a week ago, I hate to do a halfasss repair job. I'll keep ya posted.

I would get a few test peices of plastic and a few colors that may match , and after spraying the peices and letting them dry you can see if u have a match or a close enough match . Or u can just repaint the whole scoot .
