I just bought a roketa lb1p57qmj adventure and really wanted to make it as reliable as possible... I havent modded anything on it yet and the odo is at 1500km.
I DID do the first time maintenance though... carb cleaning, fuel tank cleaning, fuel filter change, oil change, air filter change, & spark plug change.
Nothing is aftermarket but I do want to invest in it so that I can make it last as long as possible. Any suggestions?
Top speed so far around 63-65 mph.

I would inspect the fuel ratio. Stock bikes are built cheap to make money, and pass emission and safety requirements, and go at least 35. Anything after that is up to the quality of the dealer. I would check the air/fuel mix to make sure its not running lean or rich. And inspect for possible problems weekly. Scooters require ALOT of maintenance unless you have a Honda. If you are happy with the way it runs as is then leave it as is and replace parts as needed. Which as a scooter it WILL need within the next 6 months or less. Good luck!

go thought it and check all electrical connections make sure you have good grounds to the frame and motor I also would get a blade type fuse holder and fuse and replace the stock one

Ok thx... so I should: 1. Check electrical connections 2. Check the air/fuel mix (im assuming that I should just read the spark plug for this) 3. Get the blade type fuse holder with new fuse 4. Thoroughly Inspect weekly
Ive been reading alot about the high performance cdi and spark plug... Any thoughts on the advantages if there are any?
Also ppl have been trying to convince me that it would be worth it to get rid of the airbox/snorkel set up and go with a custom air filter. Is this worth it?

I would double check the speed with either gps or riding beside another vehicle to verify the speed . 63 - 65 usually isn't possible with a stock scoot . You see the mods I have below and some don't believe I hit 65 - 68 . Many speedometers on these Chinese scoots are off . I believe some have to do with the different size wheels that are used. Some with 13 inch wheels seem to have a more acurate speedos.

Lol We were having fun and I dont think he was looking when I started slowing down Sent from my SGH-T599N using Tapatalk

Mine only did 51 GPS stock it was still too slow for my taste, i planned to mod it before i got it. For what i do and go its more than enough the stroker was the best mod i have done. Didn't gain top speed at first just a bunch of torque and hill climbing power, the top speed came after i went to the 17 36 gear set, the 15 37 gears must of limited me some. But after the last gear upgrade it woke up on the top, i didn't lose any torque either.

I think its because I got the limited edition lb1p57qmj... Is there a good app to clock myself with the gps on my android phone? Sent from my SGH-T599N using Tapatalk

Bottom line is that a stock scooter is more reliable if you simply put a adjustable carb in it with the proper jet. Mine is highly modded with good quality parts and runs awesome for now hopefully for many miles to come.

Can't judge speed by passing cars my highly modded 50cc bikes passed cars in 40 plus zones, but my fastest 50cc was just as fast as my stock 150cc. My highly modified 150 is a beast I blow by cars on the 55 mph highway, I haven't totally maxed the speed yet more to go. I will be posting a vid once I hit 500 miles on the stroker and cylinder kit 150 miles to go.

I have talked to others that have 13's and still way off on the speedo and some that were right on , so it could be a number of reasons why they are off . That would really bother me lol. I only have a 58.5 bbk and I have always swore my 32mm carb is a big part of the performance of my scoot. Of course I have other mods , but it makes sense that the more fuel and air you run through the engine the stronger it will run . As long as u can tune it in right.
