Going to be ordering a Stroker crankshaft to complement my NCY 61mm BBK, matching big valve head, A10 cam. Everyone please tell me which crank you have, performance you gained, also which extra parts that were needed for installation. Also How big for my application, and what would be too big. Where did you order from?
Thanks to everyone! Randy

Randy Hey, We carry stroked crankshafts for the GY6 150cc engines. 3mm,4mm,6mm,8.2mm By far the easiest to install is the 3mm which only requires a spacer and nothing else. We actually just finished a engine today which has these parts installed (which is the one pictured below) You can go bigger but it will require a little work. such as the 6mm requires you to modify your piston and the 8.2mm is a little much for most scooters unless you have a big bore kit with a longer sleeve. But i recommend the 3mm. I have it in my daily drive scooter. I believe a few others here have bought my 3mm on this forum. Whats the biggest that I can go with, with my 61mm? My mods are in sig below. I dont mind getting 94 link timing chain or base gaskets. Can I go with 4mm or 6mm? If not I will just go with whatever works best.....

If not I will just go with whatever works best..... The max will be 6mm due to the NCY Big Bore kit not having a longer sleeve for the 8.2mm. The 6mm does require modification to the piston. Such as shaving down the piston, making the valve seats deeper and shaving down the bottom of the piston. A machine shop can do that. Otherwise your best bet is a 3mm for the easy install.

Which size chain 94 link with a 4mm crank? Doesnt the proper base gasket come with these stroker cranks? I just need a list of every extra part and base gasket needed to do a 4mm stroker. Its funny noone else chimes in with what they have or used?

Hey Walt,
I guess you have everything that I'll need for a 4mm stroker?

I didn't go with the 4mm because the stock chain would be too tight it was tight with the 3mm and with the longer chain and 4mm it would've been too loose and I would of had to modify the cam tensioner, the 6mm requires shaving piston and all the stuff Walter said. The 3mm went in without much issue the bigger ones wasn't gonna add much more cc's over the 3mm to go through the hassle doubt there's a huge difference between the 3mm or 4mm performance wise. If I was going to go through a hassle of installing it I would of went with a 6mm.

You'll need to order the crank, gasket set, and spacer I used the spacer with high temp gasket seal on each side the chain was too tight with any gaskets and the spacer.

I got a 92 link chain but I used the stock link chain the 92 link would of been way to long each link is several millimeter. The 92 link will be too big with a 4mm its just one millimeter longer and 1/2 a millimeter in and out stroke. A 4mm needs a least a 2mm spacer. You shim half the stroke the bigger chains are not a direct fit, If I would of added gaskets on each side of the spacer like recommend I would of broke the chain and the longer chain still would of been too big plus I would of loss compression. There's no exact spacer and chain for a bolt on install the 1.57 spacer no gaskets works great with the 3mm. If you do a 4mm you'll have to add gaskets to both sides of the spacer to get the 2mm of clearance plus a little more for heat expansion. You can make the 4mm work but will have chain issues and will have to weld something on the bottom of the tensioner to hold the 92 link chain tight you need to decide if 6cc's more is worth the hassle for me it wasn't.

Ok man, That is everything that I needed to hear! Thanks, 3mm it is. Just the spacer, no gaskets, and no chain, correct?

You need the crank, gasket set the case gaskets break when you split the case and the spacer.
