like i said the load pops are gone now. now it's more like "tak tak" like some one popping gum really loud lol. pretty sure it's running lean now and not a leak but the adjustment screw is almost imposible to get to with out a crescent wrench with a flay head bit. i'm going to take it to the shop and let them listen to it. he knows how hard i'v worked on this and has expressed alot of pity. he didn't know the pipe was the wrong shape for the 2013 body. but last night testing the scoot now goes about 0-45 in 7 seconds. not to bad.

I have the same header , came with the eBay exhaust I bought about 3 yrs ago. Instead of bending the pipe I just cut the flange off about an inch back one repositioned it and welded it back on. Worked great. U see the carb and jet size below that I use , and I sometimes get some popping on decel . Just a little adjustment and it's fine.

Wow never heard that one before. This may sound stupid but would a longer screw driver work , or is it not even in sight . I have to us a flash light and a long flat head to reach mine.

Intake manifold bolt? No way to fix a stripped one, use vice-grips to remove it and replace it with a new one. You can order one online, or got to your hardware store and find a matching diameter and thread size piece of all-thread, then hacksaw or dremel it to the correct length. To install, put two nuts on it tightened against each other and use them as a bolt head to torque to specifications for the nut that holds the intake manifold on.
(note, you can use a tap & die set to fix the threads, but you will have to go a size smaller, and it will be much more of a P_I_T_A!)
(admins: you can't type in the abbreviation for "pain in the a**", it gets removed by the forum?!?)

ok., but first i'm going to try and add washers for the moment because it seems to be slipping at the tip top. if i still can't get a tight grip i'll pull it and get a new one.
