It idles around 800 or sometimes 2000. Why would a new scoot do this? If it idles and the idle Bounces up and down like you say 800 then maybe go up to 2000 and then back down it is running LEAN. Turn the FUEL RATIO MIXTURE SCREW on the carb counter clockwise to give it more fuel at least 1 FULL TURN. If you keep riding it like that the motor may sieze on you because of overheating for lack of fuel nothing to play around with. Alleyoop

It idles at 800 or next time at 2000 it doesn't really move too much it just idles low more often then not. It acts like its not getting fuel.

Well here is how to adjust your valves he is doing it on a 50cc but the same applies to any 4 stroke motor. For your 150cc set them both to .004 inchs or .08mm on your feeler gauge. Here is another Video on one that he took the seat out to get at the head of the motor to adjust the valves: To adjust your carb follow this procedure: itistheride.boards.net/thread/12/4ts-carb-tuningAlleyoop

Cold start up the ENRICHER is feeding it extra fuel and once the motor starts the ENRICHR then gets voltage and starts to Extend the valve and needle out and will usually shut off the extra fuel for cold starts within 5 minutes. So if you start it and then jump on it right away and giving it gas it will be running RICH and may stumble until you get some speed up. Alleyoop

Guys thanks for the responses. So I went out to the garage this morning to tinker with it and I can't get it to turn over. I went to start it with the electronic start and it just cranks. It won't start. Could this be battery related? I turn the ignition switch to in and tried to turn on headlights they wouldn't come in but turn signals still worked. Back to square one to try and get it to start. I messed with the kick start but no luck.

colder weather warm up was always 2-3 min. replace your fuel lines as soon as you can they are very cheaply made.

The people at the dealership said water in tank. This is a easy check also. It may not be the issue but it's good to know how to check it. Let the check cool down or do it before riding. Use a clear empty soda bottle and make sure it is completely dry on the inside. Pull the fuel line from the carb and place in the bottle. Start the scooter and run until you have a couple of inches of fuel in bottle. Pick up bottle and see if you see any seperation between fuel and water. Do not forget to replace fuel line. It's a simple 3 minute check.
