I'm faced with a daily commute of 27 miles each day to work and I'm tired of dealing with tuning over and over of getting my cab right. Call me weak but I don't care. I need reliability and more top end and better mileage each day so the decision has been made to do EFI. I have looked at both kits and they appear similar. I'm worried about tuning and which is more recommended. MBE is $300 and Ecotrons is $400. They both have some hidden charges as far as blue tooth add-ons and MBE want more for an O2 sensor. Any of you guys have an opinion on what I should go with?

hang on there are a few guys that have done the fuel injection conversion . I think one of them I sold an 11pole stator for the extra power to power it .

I am the one both of the above are talking about I went with the Ecotrons kit the tech support and service after the sell there is great yes if you go with the EFI system upgrade the charging system I have had system up for over a year I can leave the bike sit for months and put the key in and it starts right up you can use and blue tooth connection or a serial port on your laptop I have not tried either yet as the tune that was in the ECU when it came has been good only issue I have had was a blown fuse once and when it is real cold out I have to hold the throttle just off idle until the motor started to warm up which came be adjusted for in the ECU but I have been lazy on doing that

I started a post about EFI a week or so ago. I haven't purchased one yet, but I'm in the same boat as you I just want more long term reliability. In the research I have done I would go with the Ecotrons kit for one reason, it appears that they have much better support. It looks like the MBE kit injects in the manifold where the Ecotrons kit injects in the throttle body. If you google it there are several videos on you tubes of it being installed.

Any of you guys have an opinion on what I should go with? Why are you constantly retuning the carb? Once you set it you really should not have to touch it very often. Commuting 27 miles each day you are talking about the potential for a monthly valve adjustment or you may have idle and stalling issues from that however if you adjust the carb first then you'll have to undo that adjustment after you take care of the valve adjustment. EFI won't eliminate the need to keep the valves adjusted.

Wilds, Let me ask would it be alright if I copied your install and I will translate it to a milder juice and put it in the tech section? If not that is ok as well you won't hurt my feelings Alleyoop
