I have this scooter which at first would not start. I change the spark plug, adjusted the valves to .004 and cleaned the carb / adjusted the carb to 2 turns out. I put fresh gas 91 into the scooter. The trouble I'm having is getting the scooter to stay running. when it does run it idles for the short time no longer then about 5 minutes, the idle goes really high then really low like its about to die out. It does this idle like I said for about 5 minutes before dying out. also I tried riding it and the rpms would go up when coming into a stop. I would let off the gas and it felt as it was not slowing down and one point felt like it was lungeing. any help or advice would help thanks.
Thanks Jason

you should let it warm up and adjust the a/f screw until you get the highest idle then turn it back maybe 1/4 turn try this first. also check vac. lines for any leaks also check for cracks in the intake you can do this by spraying lil carb cleaner around the intake and vac. lines see if motor idle changes if so you have a leak

It is running to LEAN turn the fuel ratio screw Counter Clockwise try 1/2 turn more if still wants to idle high then do 1/4 turns Counter Clockwise. On the Center stand you want to adjust the mixture to get the highest IDLE then you can lower it using the IDLE SPEED screw so that your rear wheel is NOT turning. If it has a tach the idle should be anywhere from 1500-1800 wherever it idles the smoothest. Alleyoop
