Also have you adjusted the valves since you got it? If not do that first they could be tight and loosing compression on you and causing the hard starting and low power. Alleyoop

Great, if they are tight that will make a big difference right off the bat, you may see that when you start it COLD that the IDLE will be higher and then drop down as the enricher extends and cuts off the extra fuel. Alleyoop

Alleyoop ok I adjusted the valves,0.04 intake and 0.05 for exhaust. They were a tad bit tight. Bad news is it didnt do anything for the way it runs in anyway. And I screwed the a/f screw all the way and the scoot keeps on running, poorly but running none the less. Next step? Smaller pilot jet?

They should be adjusted to .003 inchs or.08mm, .04mm is very tight. Alleyoop

Ok adjusted the valves to .08 runs better, but now I hear the valves taping. Ill post back results when I can take it for a ride, snow all this week so will be hard to find out how it runs on the street.

Great, the valves will tick a little that is fine TICKY TICKY TICKY is good, you then know that are not tight and not to loose. CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER means they are to loose. Now since you adjusted the valves you may need to re-adjust the carbs fuel ratio mixture because before you were trying to compensate for the tight valves with more or less fuel.
How are the rpms acting now just on the center stand, do they go up quick and drop down nice and steady when the throttle is given a some quick twists? Also how is it starting cold better? Alleyoop

Retuned the carb,1 3/4 turns out. Didnt adjust idle as it only went up by 200 rpms. Rpms on center stand are better then before, faster then before. Response is better thats for sure. But the cold start is still the same, I have to be on the trottle to start it and keep it running till it warms up a bit. That doesnt bother me, but the lack of power drove me nuts. Will have to do a road test for conformation tho.

Good to hear it response better when twisting the throttle should have more power now. Alleyoop

Response seems better on my scoot after the valve adjustment. But my scooters idle hasn't been idling high on first start up. Been reading other threads on the issue, nothing seems to help my issue. on another post some one said to remove the enricher and plug the hole with your finger. I did that and my scoot starts the same way with it as it does with my finger pluging the hole, having to use the trottle to keeps it running. Now when I did that the wierd thing was, when I removed my finger from the hole, the rpms climbed to 3k, but the went back down to low rpms. The scooter also stayed running with the hole opened up. My enricher doesnt seem to make a difference in anyway, on or off.

Appears to be a fuel delivery problem now. Have you readjusted the carbs fuel ratio mixture after adjusting the valves? Don't forget we were messing with the ratio before you adjusted the valves. So start the puppy up and adjust the mixture to get the HIGHEST idle BUT ONLY AFTER it is warmed up about 5 minutes. Also make sure the ENRICHER is in right and sealing. The ENRICHER as cut outs that fit inside protruding bumps, if not seated in those the Enricher will not seal and loose suction to draw fuel from the bowl. Alleyoop
