I have 4 enrichers here, so what I did was to pull the one I have on there and replace it with a none working one that I had. I pluged in the one that I took out. It got warm and extended. I know ypu said to look for notches, the enricher has the notches. But the carb does not have the matching bumps.
The engine didnt speed up when I had the hole covered with my finger, it ran the same as if the enricher was on there. The engines rpm went up when I removed my finger from the hole.

I did readjust the a/f screw, did it again this morning. I took a look at the enricher again, I see the notches on the enricher, but they dont match anything on the carb. The thing is im not even sure the ericher is turning off the extra fuel. The scoot runs the same if i take the enricher out and keep my finger over the hole. Which would make the scoot run rich at idle. Not letting me adjust the a/f screw correctly. I know the one in the carb moves up and down.
edit: I also just took out the vacuum petcock and put in a manual on/off valve, to eliminate the vacuum hose.

Response seems better on my scoot after the valve adjustment. But my scooters idle hasn't been idling high on first start up. Been reading other threads on the issue, nothing seems to help my issue. on another post some one said to remove the enricher and plug the hole with your finger. I did that and my scoot starts the same way with it as it does with my finger pluging the hole, having to use the trottle to keeps it running. Now when I did that the wierd thing was, when I removed my finger from the hole, the rpms climbed to 3k, but the went back down to low rpms. The scooter also stayed running with the hole opened up. My enricher doesnt seem to make a difference in anyway, on or off.

Retuned the carb,1 3/4 turns out. Didnt adjust idle as it only went up by 200 rpms. Rpms on center stand are better then before, faster then before. Response is better thats for sure. But the cold start is still the same, I have to be on the trottle to start it and keep it running till it warms up a bit. That doesnt bother me, but the lack of power drove me nuts. Will have to do a road test for conformation tho.

Ok adjusted the valves to .08 runs better, but now I hear the valves taping. Ill post back results when I can take it for a ride, snow all this week so will be hard to find out how it runs on the street.

Great, if they are tight that will make a big difference right off the bat, you may see that when you start it COLD that the IDLE will be higher and then drop down as the enricher extends and cuts off the extra fuel. Alleyoop ok I adjusted the valves,0.04 intake and 0.05 for exhaust. They were a tad bit tight. Bad news is it didnt do anything for the way it runs in anyway. And I screwed the a/f screw all the way and the scoot keeps on running, poorly but running none the less. Next step? Smaller pilot jet?

Also have you adjusted the valves since you got it? If not do that first they could be tight and loosing compression on you and causing the hard starting and low power. Alleyoop ill will check and adjust if needed.

And with the 75 and 32 how was it running worse or better than how it is running now? Alleyoop The same, bigger main seemed the it helped my top end some. But the low end didnt change.

I checked the petcock hose looks dry, I pulled it off the the petcock and felt the end of the petcock, it was dry. The scoot came with a 75 main jet. And a 32 pilot.

One other thing you can try to see if more air will help it take the air filter off the air box and see if it runs stronger. Alleyoop yep tried that, had alot more hesatation on the stand. I will take a look at the petcock hose. I also tried removing the plastic piece in the air box and the peice on the end of the filter as well to no avail.

I know the enricher is extending, I had a spare and put it in just to plug the hole and plug in the other. Im gonna saw its running to rich. When I try to start it from a cold start I have touse the ttrottle to keep it running till it warms up a bit. Idle does not rise up like my daughters from a cold start. Idle jet is a 30, what should I go down to? I changed out the main jet to an 80, as the plug chop should white on the plug. Yes this thing is a dog.

I dont want to go faster, I just want to be able to get moving form a dead stop. If im at a light with a slight incline, it takes the scoot a good 5 secs to even get moving.
