Here are pics of a GY6 bored out case to except a 63BBK. Notice the thin walls by the Bolt holes and the side of the Cam Guide(paper thin) and missing a piece of the side wall. Alleyoop

That does not look nice.... Who built the motor and did that lead to a catastropic failure? The rod looks twisted

That's not a stock rod either, looks like a forged stroker rod.

It was a guy on the OLD SD, by the way that case was Bought as a bored out matching case to except the 63mm from a well known company. But from the looks of the case it looks more like they used a Dremel tool on it. Alleyoop

Holy Smokes, talk about catastrophic !! I wonder if the bike locked up suddenly ?? Or did it just die in a slow manner ??

Well if you ask my opinion I think it was the installers fault to be honest about it. He had other problems and I if my memory serves me right this was his second attempt. But I still contend the case had no meat left and pooring bored and with all the vibrations, explosions and heat going on something had to give with such thin walls. I even asked to see a picture of new matching case's jug hole to see the boring and the meat that was left along the bolt and chain side. But that did not happen and never heard from the case seller again. Alleyoop

Alleyoop Contrary to what most people sell online with those crankshafts they are not forged even tho they say they are forged. Forged Crankshafts will cost $$$$ Also for 63mm its one reason i prefer 62mm because the cylinder walls are thicker than 63mm. There is a 63mm out there with a very thick cylinder wall but i am still at a lost at how they get it to fit in a regular case.

Just to add some info, if you ever mic the pistons they are not a full 61mm, 62mm or 63mm they all are rounded up. So you have a tiny wee of lee way but not a heck of a lot. Alleyoop

if the bore of the cylinder is say 63mm and the piston was the same 63mm when the motor heats up the piston would seize up because of expansion of the aluminum piston will be faster than the steal cylinder
