My carb is cheap and doesn't have a fuel air screw. It only has the throttle adjustment screw. It will start, but I am concerned with the fact it wont rev and that there is a squeak and knock.

Ok, your carb has the Fuel Ratio Screw Plugged. So get a drill and use a say 1/16 bit drill IN ONLY 1/8 and then get a pointed screw and screw it into the hold and pull it out. The Screw will be behind the plug. Alleyoop

Well i got it to start pretty easily....but the motor squeaks bad...so tomorrow im gonna pull off the clutch and belt and try to run it like that. If its still squeaking the only thing it can be is either the bearing on the piston rod or the main shaft bearings went out

Great, are you sure you have oil in the crankcase and are not low on oil? You can take the Valve cover off and get a nice dirty towel or something and put it under the valve to catch any oil and start it up just for a few seconds and see if oil is being pushed up to the valves. If not it could be a bad oil pump or low on oil. Alleyoop

Good, so now your going to take the variator off and belt and see if the motor runs and it still squeaks and take a video of it. What I suggest is take the CVT cover off Leave the belt on and Use a wire to hold the BENDIX in place like the pic I put up and start it and take a video of the cvt while it is running. Then give it a little throttle so we can see how the CVT is working or NOT working. Alleyoop

I tried to start it with just the variator on it, and it still does it. Tried to start it with just the wire holding the bendix in place too but it would move and bind it up. But with no clutch or belt it still squeaked and knocked real bad. I took off the valve cover and pull didn't shoot out with it idling, but it was coming out. Took off the head and the cylinder is OK. But i notice noises coming from inside the block when i spun it with no head. Like loose metal knocking in there
Listen about 35 seconds in, and you will hear the noise I'm talking about. Soft clanking noise. Well you can actually hear it the whole time I'm turning the fan, might have to turn the speakers up though.

BUMMER!! it is either two things the crank rod holding the wrist pin has play or the crank bearing is shot. You will have to pull the JUG out and find out which one has the problem. But in either case most likely a new crank and piston are in order. Alleyoop

Well, I had an idea to pull the piston down the cylinder so I could see what the rod was doing on the crankshaft, and this is what I got. I think the bearing is blown.....

You got it my friend the crank bearing is shot. Well since your going to either have to get a new motor or break the case apart and re-build that one get a BBK and new crank. What the hey more displacement more power Alleyoop

That is a bbk in it already.... So i was thinking crankshaft, oil seals, gasket set, oil pump(just to cover bases), bendix bushing.
Are there high performance cranks and oil pumps?
