Well you tested the Stator and Pick Up Coil, so it has to be the CDI, COIL, Killswitch or ground did you happen to also put in a new plug. Alleyoop

So that could be it, water is shorting out either the Key Switch and or Killswitch and grounding out the CDI, that is why make sure you cut the killwire on the CDI and not the power wire.

These china scoots do not like water the wiring and switchs are not water proof and no protection from moisture. Alleyoop

First make sure you did not cut the wrong wire, if it is shorting out the CDI then pulling the KILLWIRE off the CDI will eliminate the CDI being grounded and if that is the problem you should have spark. Then if that works then you can tear into the killswitch and or ignition or you can try a littlw WD40 and working the switch back and forth as well as the key switch. Alleyoop

well i did the bypass and it was doing the same thing turning over but not giving spark Question...when you replaced the CDI...did you use a 'performance' CDI..or a standard one? If so try swapping your old CDI back in and try it. Many 'performance' and even stock type CDI boxes arrive slam up dead. I have a parts/repair shop and order them by the dozen.. Always 2-3 of the 12 do not work fresh out of the box.. Also like Alley said..these things don't like water...so I open my switches and give them a good liberal spray of silicone..others use WD-40 which works just as well. Remember WD-40 was not designed as a lube..it stands for Water Displacement Formula Number 40...and it does dandy job at that. Does quiet a squeaky door hinge so my teens thought they could sneak out at night..but we dad's are bit smarter and bust them...lol

so i checked again and both the cdi's are getting the right input, but giving 0ac volts on the coil feed wire. im wondering if the trigger pickup coil isnt sending enough voltage, then agian i have 2 of them and they both test the same at about .2 volts i have also heard people talk about the regulator shorting out and frying the cdi... is that possible, and if so would my lights still be powering up when it tries to turn over since the lights run through the regulator?

Well I would say it is your CDI, the R/R has nothing to do with the spark . Where did you get the CDI and how much did you pay for it. There are some really cheap CDIs out there and I would not trust them. GIve TVNACMAN a pm he TESTS the CDIs before he ships them ON A SCOOT to make sure they work. Alleyoop
