thanks Alley, i did the test and my battery goes to about 14.6 dcvolts while running when i rev it it continues to go up so im guessing its charging good. whats next?
also i just tested the yellow wire from stator, it reads about 8 volts ac while idling and about 25+ volts ac while revved

one thing i forgot to mention, when i was trying to fix my spark issue i took the auto choke of to look at it i put it back on and forgot about it it seems like the choke isnt working right as it takes a while to warm up where it used to just fire right up untill the choke activated and the idle would slowly go down. now it just starts and i see no change in rpm could that have something to do with the headlights since it runs of the yellow wire?
