They make mounts to MOUNT the 150 motors which are top mounted on a 50 bottom mount frame. Get your wallet out and you got a mount to mount the 150 on a bottom mount 50 frame. Alleyoop monstergy6.com/ruckus_motor%20_mounts.htm

They do not make them for a TRIKE you have to make your own for a trike. One guy did convert his 50cc trike to a 150 but he made his own mounts. There was a Video on it I saw it but did not save it, Google it may still be around. Alleyoop

Correct,it wont bolt onto original 50cc mount, but it would be way easier to make a bottom mount than hang it from the top,[at least that was the case for me].

heres a couple of pics its code is 157QMJ its a kazuma 150,as I said all common GY6 parts interchange except head/barrel,the 2 long 6mm bolts are slightly different spacing, the 4 head bolts are the same.I used this as it was a lot easier than making a top mount motor fit.cant seem to insert pics sorry, email me if you want to see, thanks

I know this is an old thread, but I'm hoping this will help someone else, because I've recently been in the same position, wanting to swap my 50 cc from my Tao Tao Racer to a 150cc, while keeping it as stock looking as possible. I'm actually having to order a brand new bike just to get all the parts I need for the swap. The Holy Grail engine that we've been on the hunt for is an LK157QMJ. The 'LK' designation means it was manufactured by Leike, who makes a bottom mounted version of the GY6 150cc. Up until recently, the only bike that I knew of that they put it in was the Roma Super Hornet, which hads a dual shock shock setup in the rear, but to my understanding, (and I'm about to drop over a grand just to verify this) they are now just recently putting it in a Cougar Cycles Rocket with a monoshock configuration, which is what I need for my particular build. I've actually had my hands on a Super Hornet, and I know that engine would fit with little modification, but I would have either had to try and reuse my stock monoshock bottom bracket, or fab a new one, but if the spec sheets (and the sales staff at saferwholesale) are correct, this new model has the same engine, but with a monoshock out back on the Rocket, and the Rocket is like 3-400 cheaper than the Super Hornet. I have searched all over for a source for just the engine, but the lowest cost I've been quoted for the engine only is 680, and that's with no mounts, carb, pipe/silencer, wiring harness, etc., so it will be more cost effective in the long run to just order a whole bike, swap the engines both directions, and hopefully end up with a 50cc (actually 88cc BBK) Rocket to sell, and a 150cc Racer to ride!

Would love to see some pics after you finish this project. I am looking to do the same thing, but also want to put in a larger rear wheel, 16 inches. The only engine I found was a 150cc gy6 extra long case, but it is top mounted, and no one wants to do the fabrication for me. Plus, a 150cc engine is wired for DC, while a 50cc is AC, so you also need to put in a new wiring harness and hardwire in all the controls. I was also looking at getting a Honda SH125i for the swap, but not sure if that will be any better, although I'm pretty sure that is also a bottom mount, although the spacing for the mounting bracket would be different. Easier mod though. Would love to see pics of your project. Love the Racer 50, but it is too slow and the rear wheel is too small IMHO. Could be a kick scooter if they fixed those two issues.
