Would love to see some pics after you finish this project. I am looking to do the same thing, but also want to put in a larger rear wheel, 16 inches. The only engine I found was a 150cc gy6 extra long case, but it is top mounted, and no one wants to do the fabrication for me. Plus, a 150cc engine is wired for DC, while a 50cc is AC, so you also need to put in a new wiring harness and hardwire in all the controls. I was also looking at getting a Honda SH125i for the swap, but not sure if that will be any better, although I'm pretty sure that is also a bottom mount, although the spacing for the mounting bracket would be different. Easier mod though. Would love to see pics of your project. Love the Racer 50, but it is too slow and the rear wheel is too small IMHO. Could be a kick scooter if they fixed those two issues.
