Ok so I'm here for a buddy he has a taotao atm-50 the bike has about 3000 km on it. up until about a week ago the scooter ran great good power and steady speeds holding 43 mph easy abut about a week ago it start accelerating very slowly it would not get over 35 I'm lost on where to start looking.

Check the easy stuff first check your belt, rollers for flat spots, clean the carb, filter, fuel filter and adjust the valves and change the oil, maybe a new spark plug. I call it a tune up.

Just checking in I took the carb apart pulled the plug and cleaned it and adjusted the valves and bang she's back  thank you.. |

Also changed the oil and gear oil.

if it has the original belt better get a new one for when it finally goes.

if it has the original belt better get a new one for when it finally goes. Yeah it sucks to be a distance from home and snap goes the belt. Had to walk a distance pushing my scoot once cause of that. Thought I could get more out of the belt and paid for it |
