Hey guys getting tired of my 30mph top speed and how unsafe I feel going that slow on roads and I live in a city and people are crazy in there cars and I almost get hit daily riding. So I am thinking about a cdi upgrade sence I need a motorcycle endorsement in fl to drive an over 50cc scoot. So to my question would the cdi upgrade be worth it by its self or what would I have to do elts to got a little bit out of it with out a BBK. Thanks in advanced.

A Cdi isn't going to give you what you want. A bbk and and 16/50 gears will be the route I would suggest.

About the best you can do without a BBK is around 35mph. But if you want to hit 40mph then you need a BBK. Since your in the city, you need low end torque to get you from stop light or stop sign faster so you can keep up with the traffic better. Alleyoop

Millsc is guy you want for a descent setup for what you need, he has done many BBKs for folks. You can Pm him or if and when he sees this he will chime in and give you the right thing to do.
But you need to explain your driving area what is it you really need fast get up and go to get up to speed quick or long stretchs of road where you need a lot more top end. You can get a little of both if setup right. Alleyoop

The taos are fairly quick with a big bore kit without a gear up depending on what your looking for speed wise. Let me know what you want to spend and what speed you desire and I'll put up links.

The carb might be sealed so that would be a issue also you would have to deal with when installing a bbk tuning the cvt helps a lot also, you are not going to gain more power but be able to use the power that you already have better.First thing i always do is add lighter rollers to any scooter that i buy, makes the motor more peppier and throttle response quicker imo the weights are way to heavy that come stock

Tank you all. One more thing I was trying to do a few free mods which none of them worked out for me but I just took it out for a ride and it was reving out higher now I think it has something to do with this tube that got cut by accent and I had to shorten it is was bolted to the trani and it has a spring on it and it looks like it runs to the carb hears a pic if it helps I just want to make sure it's not going to mess anything up
