so was coming home from work and the belt for my falcon got shredded to pieces and i only have a owners manual for the scoot and says nothing about belt size unfortunatley. Was wondering if anyone knows the size of which belt i would need or how i would go about finding the size i would need? no numbers from the previous belt it really did get shredded to pieces when i opened the case it looked like a rats nest was in it but it was the belt.
I did manage to buy a gates powerlink CVT belt but the length was to small it was 729-17.5x30 belt size and the belt is so tight that the clutch is in fully open it will start but it idles rough and when pulling back on the throttle it just shuts off.

Do you have a long case or a short case? If you have 10" wheels, you most likely have a short case, larger wheels most likely are on a long case.

it is 12" wheels i found out what the issue is my brother installed the belt wrong and didn't make sure the belt was tight on the variator. so instead it is tight on the clutch and loose on the variator lol but the belt size is correct becuase it is a 139QMB.

did you get it fixed? It should be loose on the variator and down in the clutch groove when you first put it on. It will tighten up when it runs. Make sure the weights in the variator didn't fall out of place.

yes the problem is fixed the problem believe it or not is my battery is dying....one problem after the other with this thing lol.
Oh i am having another issue but i think it is becuase of the dying battery when i try to electrically start the engine it starts but it makes a like clinking or clanking sound after it starts like i held down the starter for to long and i dont hold it down but for a second i am just really thing its becuase of the dying battery but before something else fails i would like your guys input.

I am sure it is because of the weak battery. If the battery is weak it will not spin the starter fast enough and therefore the BENDIX is NOT extending out fully and hitting the Variatir Fan Teeth instead of grabing the teeth on the Fan Plate. So I would suggest to get a 7AMP battery with CCAs(COLD CRANKING AMPS will into the 100) before you either ruin the Bendix and or Variator Fan plate. Alleyoop

Bendix usually are pretty simple they have a spring inside to retract it back after the starter stops spinning it. It just may be dirty and binding some. Take it out and spray some carb cleaner inside where it rotates on the sort of wrom gears it has and work it in and out. Also make sure the BENDIX shaft goes into the CVT hole that keeps it straight and level. If you had taken the CVT cover off it may be that you did not make sure the BENDIX shaft went into the COVERs slot to hold it straight and level When you put the CVT cover back on. Many have done this is why I mention it and then its rattle rattle time. If you can get a Video of the noise that would help as well. Alleyoop

ok i think the problem was the gear for the bedix had like no lube at all so it was all metal on metel contact i mean the little gears that contact with the starter ther was like no lube at all so i put a very small amount and double checked the positioning of the bendix in both sockets it is level and good to go now. I think the reason there was like no lube was becuase when my belt like shattered in the housing it got turned into just particles and when i pulled it out it looked like a rats nest lol and dust was everywhere which is why i think the bedix gear had like no lube on it.

ok i just installed the battery and i doubt this is normal when getting a new battery anyway i have the new battery installed and the headlight and the cluster lights are dimming and getting brighter and i pull back on the throttle. Is that normal or is there a short somewhere? i mean even when i am not pulling back on the throttle and just letting it idle the brightness of the headlight and cluster fluctuate.
ok also the noise is back from the bendix i will get at the very least a sound recording of what the bendix sounds like when i am starting it all i know is it sounds awful.
just took a multimeter to the poles of the battery and it is going haywire when i start the scooter and i am not even touching anything, but when the bike is off it reads just right around 13V

Put that video on youtube, that barn wants you join and download stuff that I have the latest and greatest of.
As for the battery Did you install it correctly a good ground to the frame from the negative etc.. If it was not doing this with the old battery then I think the R/R is blown If you accidently crossed the wires when installing the battery. Alleyoop
