Took a trip up to Rockland Mass today and bought the new scooter It's the 150.If they had a red &silver 50 like mine, i would have got that but i got the 150 for the same price. A couple of things I kinda don't like is this one has 13" wheels so my brand new michelins wont fit, and it doesn't have the 2t type exhaust with the expansion chamber like mine did otherwise its a twin. Found out I can get the triple tree and the body panels to fix up the 50 so its all good imotorsports.net/p671/Raptor-150cc-Scooter-(Motorcycle).htm

The link said it has 12 wheels not 13 . If you can get a 150 for the same price as a 50 JUMP on it ! I like that body style of the scooter . If you are going to fix your old scooter the Michelin tires will be a plus compared to the tires that come on most scooters . I hope you have or will get a motorcycle license so you can enjoy it instead of worrying about getting busted . A buddy of mine was riding a 150 with a moped tag , not license , insurance and unregistered he got 1,700 in fines . Progressive is should be around a year ( well it is in SC ) for just liability insurance but I added roadside assistance for 10 bucks , extended uninsurance coverage and 5k in medpay in case I wreck if I had a tire blow out since I do not have health insurance . In SC if you do not have insurance they almost spit on patients in the ER . A 150 will have the extra power so you can keep up with traffic and not struggle going up a hill . Having the extra power it should last longer as it does not have to work as hard as a 50 does

I pay 15 a month through geico for insurance or 96 a year. I'd never go back to a 50cc now that I have my 150 my modded 150 is way faster than my modded 50ccs. Its a night and day difference. I say bigger the wheels the better.

Yeah, I had to plate and insure the 50. R.I. makes you plate all scooters. I have'nt ridden it yet . Trucked it home. I know the sound is way different,You can hear that it has twice the power.I'll probably like it, It's just that I had my 50 exactly the way I wanted it. I was very happy. I still am going to fix it. Even if it costs me another 5 or600 bucks. then I can decide which one to keep. I really don't need a Fast & powerful bike. the way I had the 50 modded was perfect for me. We'll see how it goes. And It does have 13" wheels despite what the link says, so number one on my list is to replace the rubber with good quality bike tires.Or, (ijust thought of this) I could simply swap the wheels. Michelins are already mounted and balanced, and I don't think the front wheel was damaged, just the forks and triple tree.

Keep the bigger wheels you'll like them take it for a spin you'll instantly feel the power torque and comfort difference. The 150s with bigger wheels are way more comfortable than the smaller wheeled 50s. My galaxy 50 had 12 inch fat wheels but my 150 with 13s is a much better ride. The china tires are cheap but I keep them till they wear out no issues so far

If the 50cc with the works was good the stock 150 will be more than enough I've totally maxed 50s 52mm pistons big valve heads gear upgrades and all and a stock 150 is still faster and has way more torque

My friend has a modded 50 airsal gear upgrade and all he's thinking of getting a 150 I can give him a quarter mile head start and hawk him down and blow by him like he's standing but my 150 is pretty highly modded also. Soup up that 150 and roll on the 55mph highways its a blast

Well, I took it out for a spin. I am impressed. you're right, I feel the difference right away. and it does have a much better ride. This model has upgraded shocks. I think though, I am going to put in a variator with some sliders.I got used to the way they work. just don't seem right on this one with the rollers.Went uo to 55 (on the chinometer) and still was climbing but I backed off ...still new, not even 10 miles. I'm Keeping it, but I'm still fixing my 50--- It was personalized by me for me I still like it

Huge difference right? Mod it and it becomes even better hit the highway not the 70 zones but mine gets around fine in 55 zones

So now I have three scooters. The baja sc50 has no damage, just old and some electrical probs, Still have a brand new qmb139 with a BBK, three different heads too. and I got the wrecked 50 (ill fix that) and the new one. I'm gonna use this one, Cost me a couple of hundred and a lot of pain and bruises, but the money the guy gave me paid for most of it
