My last post said that my plug was crossthreaded in the head, making my plug not go all the way in, so instead of just getting a new head, and since my scoot is all torn apart, I thought I'd just do the BBK while im already taken apart. I want to get the Taida 161 BBK from Walt at scooterelements. My 1st question is: what size head would I need? 61mm, 62mm, or 63mm? I want to get the Taida head as well. My 2nd question is: What would be the best size Cam to go with? Keep in mind with all the other mods in my sig below. Thanks and everything is Greatly appreciated!

Get a matching 61mm head Id get the forged piston 61mm taida kit with domed piston and 58.5 head but its not listed anymore. I'm pleased with my 60mm kit and big port head cost 150 bucks total for motor and happy with my a13 cam I got for 26 bucks got it all from walt

Would I see more performance with the 63mm head over the 61mm head? Or do they have to match? Just wanting the best for my application, without splitting the cases....

No you cannot do that, you have to have a matching head. And I also would question them saying that the 61 does not require boreing(IT MAY). The only way it does not REQUIRE boring is if they shaved the JUG to fit a standard GY6 case. Which now make the JUG a little thinner. But you probably won't find that out until you try to put it in your case or Measure your case opening and have the Seller Verify the O.D of the JUG. Alleyoop

I offset my head since its domed I'm running a 58.5 head on a 60mm kit for raised compression for more power I ran the domed piston with my stock head until I got the 8mm exhaust studs

Your going the wrong way the smaller chamber will produce more compression and more power

Well its the Taida 61mm bbk from scooter elements, thought I'd buy from Walt since he has answered questions for me on here and everyone else, so I should get the 61mm head right?
Millsc, why did you go with the A13 cam? Is it good for your setup? Would it be good for what I'm attempting with the 61mm Bbk?

The head depends on which one you buy I'd run the domed forged piston with a 58.5 head and the flat piston with a matching 61mm head don't go over the piston size on the head lowers compression and produces less power

I'm also gonna get the matching 61mm head as well, and the A-13 cam, unless anyone else thinks another cam is better? How does this setup sound? Thanks, Randy

The non forged is a flat top piston I'm happy with the torque I get from the a13 cam

Ok, so I'm settled with the Taida 61mm BBK non forged piston. Can I use the Taida big valve head with this BBK? It doesn't say if it is a 61mm head?

It should work fine even if its a 58.5mm combustion chamber. Might as well get the performance manifold that match the ports that's what I did
