Both my bolts that hold the muffler pipe to engine exhaust broke off. Any ideas before i bring to the scooter shop?

Do you mean the studs that hold the pipe on the head? If so see if you can get them out with vice grips then order new studs or go to the hardware store and get 6mm bolts

I have found that ace hardware has pretty much every bolt you need replaced almost all my screws and bolts the ones that come on the bikes are cheap

Did the studs break off flush with the head? If you have some threads left, take off the exhaust put two nuts on what is left of the stud, tighten the two nuts against each other then you can turn the bottom one counter clockwise and the stud will come out, otherwise, vice scrips and what ever other evil methods you can devise will need to be employed to get the old stud out. if it's flush with the head, get an easy out kit, although they do get pricey to the point where getting a new head may be the answer. remember unless you have a special head (bbk, big valve, yada), scrappy has heads for 50 bucks so don't dump a lot of money into getting the stud out. And to keep from breaking the stud again, make sure our exhaust system is strapped and not hanging off the studs and use those exhaust nuts.... they help with a few things. They spread the clamping force of the nut onto the flange (washer will work too, if you use standard nuts) and since they are longer, they have more threads in contact with the threads of the stud which helps keep them from working loose. The extra length of the nuts, also make it easier to put it back together. Don't over tighten either, that breaks them as well.
Yup, Ace is the place... they have the best selection of metric hardware I've found.

yes those are the one. The screws no longer sticks out. I may need to drill the remaining screw and re-tap the hole?

I checked out ebay out for heads. Is it easy to replace it? How do i know if i need the head with EGR? Thanks

I'd dump the EGR ( PAIR) system if you're going to change the head. Millsc may even sell you a head if you're nice to him..
Its all very simple, there a plenty of YouTube tutorials.

they make drill bits that drill in then when you back it out the broken bold will come out with it.Not sure of the name something like nut out. or bold remover.

make sure you buy the same head otherwise you will have to change the engine shroud . I have heads by the way .
reverse drill bits or e-z out .

I never had to change the shroud just rocker arms if it had 69mm valves on the original I have tons of heads I'd let go for very cheap

I have one bolt holding up my exhaust. Who and where is Scrappy? I might need a new head.

The only different part (the one you have to change) on long valve vs short valve heads is the rocker arm assembly. Everything else on the motor stays the same.Including the shroud.
