Hey guys this scooter came to me in pieces. It is a tank 250 touring 2006 model. There is a weird cable that wasn't on it and is rusted in 2 and I need to know what this bad boy is! It is pretty long and has an about 4 inch spring on the end. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Sounds like your brake cable if your scoot has DRUM BRAKES in the REAR.

Agreed. Rear drum cable? Or is it a seat release cable?

Ahhh ok there was nothing on the rear so I retrofitted it to disc brakes. Just making sure this thing wasn't going to not stop without that cable. Now just a drive belt and I will be on the road!
