I also agree after searching around the net that Givi makes some nice looking trunks, for example; www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-monokey-52-liter-trekker-caseAt around $400 for that though I pass. I ended up getting "Emgo 72-32440 Travel Trunk" off eBay for $70, cause it was like $66 + $30 shipping to Hawaii, on amazon. Haven't installed it yet since it's still in transit, but to me it looks better than a lot of the half egg shaped ones that are sold everywhere.

Yeah, 52 litres is HUGE! almost twice the size of a standard sscooter trunk (27-30litre) .That case is for a full size touring bike.

Local dealer only charges $75 for the 35L Givi Monolock OEM for Aprilia. Plus is that the Aprilia Sport City luggage rack already has a metal monolock base built into it.

Yeah thats about right. givi gets $ for it retail, you could do better from a dealer.

I am glad I asked the local dealer as everyone knows the best deals are on the internet. I had found out some time ago that the local merchants will match or beat internet prices just to get people use to going to the physical brick and mortor store so I check whats available locally without making special trips and just stopping in at merchants during my normal travels.

Wow boi, that is one gorgeous scoot!
Now see, that one I totally don't mind the trunk. It's not hanging off the back like it's just tacked on but is a part of the rest of the bike. Which is just beautiful. What is it?

So I got my EMGO trunk in the mail today. Am disappointed in many ways. I couldn't get the bracket to hold more than two bolts, and had to improvise and play around to get one on each side, so it's not 100% sturdy because of that. It's all black murdered out just like my bike.
It looks ok from the back and side view, but I so much like it better off the bike. Even with the bracket on, and i remove just the trunk, the bracket alone still makes it look tackier. When I look at it, it looks as if I turned it into a pizza delivery scoot, or like seeing someone dressed real thuggish, but is wearing a pink bracelet. So I am disappointed with the way it looks on the bike. Then again I've seen similar trunks or half shell trunks on really nice motorcycles and thought it made it look less hard.
The inside looks smaller than it did in the pictures. I haven't taken my bike out yet, but took out the chain and lock from my seat trunk which I have a hard time closing after opening it and slapped it in the trunk for now.
The only good advantages Ive seen from this so far is that it's detachable from the bracket, and can lug the trunk around cause it has a handle or leave it home when your not going to use it, and of course being able to carry more load.
There are only so many options available though, and agree with the other poster that even if most don't look good or make your bike look less hard, it still comes in handy and should serve it's purpose. Maybe i'll post a pic of it later, but it's night right now.

heres some pics i took earlier today. thing looks a little big. i guess it looks alright, still I'll take this sucker off when I don't need it. Today I had my lock and chain in it, x2 2liter bottles of pepsi and some food from taco bell. I sat the food one top and worried it might get crushed, but it was all fine when I took it out.
