I have a gy6 150cc hewhit engine on a buggy im sorry its not a scooter but its the same engine. The engine never gave me any problems and it ran good untill i decided to to give it a vavle adjustment, witch it needed, i set it to the "t" mark on the flywheel and took the vavle cover off. Thats when i noticed the three holes on the cam sprocket were not showing. So i went ahead and adjusted the vavles intake at .003 and exhaust at .005 but now after putting it back together it wont start. I think the timing chain jumped a link. Do you guys have any sugestion on what i should do. I really do appreciate you guys help THANK YOU.

Should be the 3 holes on the cam whether it be stock or aftermarket parts, I'd pop the valve cover back off and roll the cam until you see them. I usually do .004/.005 for 150s.

sorry to tell ya. but ya gotta do it again.the T marks have to line up along with the 3 holes.
if they dont show again, just rotate the flywheel till the T marks AND the holes show
right mechs /
and it dont matter that its a ATV its still a GY-6, like you said

correct Terri also before buttoning the engine back up, roll the engine over manually to make sure the valves didnt lose their gap.

there are 2 crank revolutions per crankshaft revolution. if the 3 holes in the cam are out of position with the crankshaft on the T mark, you may just need to rotate the crankshaft 1 revolution. On scooters, the engine to frame ground wire is usually on one of the valve cover bolts. Leaving it off will cause no spark at the sparkplug

After aligning the flywheel with the T-mark. Remove the spark plug and check that the piston is at TDC (Top Dead Center).
When the piston is at TDC the holes on the cam should also align. When both above are aligned properly that's when you adjust the valeves.

Did this atv run? If so slowly turn the engine over and align the cam marks, then check the timing mark.
I have seen the engine ground connected to a bolt where the cooling fan cover bolts on the top.

The engine did run but when i did a valve adjustment the "T" mark on the flywheel was not aligned with the three holes on the cam so when i move one the other gets out of place and also i forgot to mention after trying to turn it over the spark plug comes out very wet
