run it with stock head and your performance cam, works awesome, seems to take smaller jets the aluminum doesn't get as hot

Just called, I forgot --I'm in New England, Calif is three hrs behind.Who sells a quality 20mm carb? or do you think I should use stock jonway one. Only thing about it is, there's a brass plug blocking the adjusting screw. Everything about that bike seems to be of better quality than normal chinese ones. It even came with a bando belt.

Quick update: The airsal 50mm kit arrived today. I just finished installing it. I gotta say, quality wise, it leaves the rest in the dust. I used my stock head, A9 cam, and stock carb (even though i got a bigger one, It fired right up first shot!!! I had to idle up a hair. I'm going to put back the plastics and take her fer a spin Thanks for that advice millsc

well, rode it for a few miles, and I,m very happy so far. Pulls uphill, 40-45 on flat (no WOT yet) and this is all with stock carb, head airbox and exhaust which i plan on keeping anyway. It should only get better from here Once everything seats in, I can put the other carb in, and fool with jets and airbox (1 size and 1 hole at a time) So far a dramatic power increase without any noise increase happyhappy

There ya go! Finally some good news for you. I guess one of the lessons from your experience is to get a good big bore kit and don't do it piecemeal.

Well, I didn't at first. The stuff was all scrappydog"s . than they wouldn't sell me just the piston and rings seperately.(it got damaged from soft seize) so I got the hoca to try out. that didn't work out too well. That's when millsc suggested airsal. so I went with that one. Absolutely no regrets there ;D Thanks fer the kudos

yeah thanks!! I just dropped the engine, took off the carb & muffler ( thing's a pain cause the center stand stays on the bike- have to go around it) ,swapped the jug and put it all back. Maybe 1 hour 's work. Fired right up and ran great
