I have messed with a variator but never a CVT clutch other than replacing a whole unit on a moped . I know when working on drum brakes on a car having the spring pliers and nut driver thing really makes it easier than trying with standard pliers . I have watched a video on how it comes apart and the torque spring does not look to be that hard with an air powered impact . I looked around an waiting on Hoca to email me about installing their bb torque spring base as if it should be done dry , oiled or light greased for the BBs . I know the shalf needs grease .
Its for my 2T with stock clutch and I wish to install 1.5k clutch , 1.5k torque ( also called contra ) and the BB torque spring base .
Would love to hear any tips along with suggested tools and method to do it right the first time .
I am unhappy the Hoca did not have a single bit of info on any of my parts nor on their website . I know Hoca is a decent aftermarket brand but I guess I expected them to post more data on their products . BTW the BB torque spring is not even listed on their home page along with some other parts too.
This summer I hope to have a Stage 6 clutch since the bell is lighter and has vents large enough that the clutch springs can be swapped out without removing the clutch assembly or bell

So any tips or ideas as I have done many things but never changed out the clutch or torque springs . I went to Hocas website and could not even find the bb torque base as I would think it should be greased instead of put on dry . The package had no info on it grrrrr
